In recent years,with the rapid development of wireless communication technology in China,the demand of wireless communication for frequency resources is becoming more and more intense.In order to make full use of frequency resources,the performance requirements of filter circuits are becoming higher and higher.As an important component of communication system,microwave filter is used to separate useful and useless signals.In these filter,metal filter for conductor loss and dielectric waveguide(cavity medium is commonly air)small loss,large capacity,no radiation power loss,and the advantages of simple structure,easy to manufacture,is widely applied in 3 GHz to 300 GHz cm band and millimeter wave communication,radar,guidance,remote sensing,satellite communications,wireless communication,and a variety of fields such as military electronic countermeasure.Waveguide filters are also required for all electromagnetic waves from ultra-long waves through microwaves to light waves.The thesis mainly studies the principle and technology of miniaturization design of waveguide filter.The main work contents are as follows:Firstly,the thesis introduces the application background and development status of filter at home and abroad,and puts forward the research of this thesis Research significance and research contents.Secondly,the basic theory of microwave filters,the types of filters and their advantages and disadvantages are introduced.The basic knowledge of rectangular waveguide resonator is introduced,that is,there are two main indexes to measure the resonant cavity performance: resonant frequency and quality factor Q.On this basis,the cavity cascade waveguide filter,the application of cross-coupling technology and the degenerate mode waveguide filter are introduced.In addition,the cascade waveguide filter is designed according to its own project requirements,and the designed filter is improved according to actual needs.The size of the original filter is not increased on the basis of performance improvement.Finally,through theoretical analysis and HFSS software simulation,the bandwidth of the filter is effectively improved.Under the limitation of the layout,the size of the filter designed in the first version is kept,and the bandwidth is doubled.The test result of the filter has a good performance.Through the electromagnetic simulation software HFSS,the waveguide filter is successfully simulated and analyzed,and the good result obtained verifies the design principle and method.
