The widespread applications of random numbers in modern science have aroused great concern. For example, there are a large number of applications in the fields of data security, scientific computing, radar detection, and communication. At the same time, since the physical random number has the natural advantage over the pseudo-random number, the physical random number quickly becomes a hot spot in the research of random number field.Today, information security is becoming more and more important, and the research of random number generator has become the focus of random number research. In the study of random number generators, research on its safety is the top priority of all research.According to the principle of generation, random numbers can be divided into two categories: pseudo-random numbers and physical random numbers. Therefore, the random number generators that come with it can be divided into physical random number generators andpseudo-random number generators.Pseudo-random numbers are usually generated by some determined algorithm,so it is generally necessary to provide initial data and then generating random numbers according to an iterative algorithm program. However, due to the natural nature of the principle of pseudo-random number generation, its periodicity will lead to security risks,so its application is limited. The basic principle of physical random number generation is a random number obtained by using physical random processes or physical random phenomena existing in nature and then subjected to data extraction processing,so it has the advantage of natural randomness. The security analysis methods used for different types of random number generators are also different.Aiming at the security analysis of pseudo-random number generators, several security definitions are proposed internationally. When the pseudo-random number generator reaches certain standards in the analysis of these aspects,it shows that it has certain security, and the higher the standard is,The better the security. For the security analysis of the physical random number generator,The general method is to attack the physical random number generator. For different physical random sources, people use different attack methods to attack thus studying their security. For noise-based and jitter-based physical random entropy sources, temperature and power attacks are used for security analysis;foroscillator-based physical random entropy sources, electromagnetic attack methods are often used;for chaotic-based physical random entropy sources, the most threatened attack method that threatens its security is the chaotic synchronization attack method. In this paper,a synchronization attack based on autonomous Boolean chaotic physical random number generator is used to analyze the security. In order to study the synchronization attack, this paper scientifically models the random entropy source based on autonomous Boolean chaos, and analyzes the security of the synchronization attack by means of simulation. The research results show that the physical random entropy source based on autonomous Boolean chaos has good security against synchronization attacks. Therefore, the physical random number generator based on autonomous Boolean chaos also has a good security accordingly.
