| In recent decades,television has been one of the benchmark products in the consumer electronics market.It has been the indispensable tools in our daily life from the CRT in the past to the Flat-screen TV or Surface TV in recent.With the ever-changing technology,display technologies is developing by leaps and bounds in the directions of WCG(wide color gamut),HDR(high dynamic range),higher frame rate,higher resolutions,bit depth.The WCG and HDR are mainly reflected in luminance and chromaticity parameters in the TVs.However,luminance and chromaticity are two physical parameters based on human eyes.Therefore,the actual viewing experience must be considered besides objectively measured values.In this paper,a study was conducted from the perspective of visual comfort and actual viewing experience focusing on the luminance and chromaticity parameters in TV system: for the traditional standard dynamic range(SDR)display,this paper designed two visual perception experiment to study.One is the optimized screen luminance in different room illumination and the other is the best viewing experience in the different color gamut.The experiment is carried out through the combination of objective measurement and subjective test.Then,we used the SPSS software to analyze and obtained the results: There is a significant difference between room illumination and screen luminance.When people watch the high-light picture,the screen luminance that people preferred changes like power function curve with the changing of room illumination.While in the situation of low-light picture,the screen luminance that people preferred changes linearly with the changing of room illumination.Thus,it is not true that the higher screen luminance is better,and there is a proper luminance under different room illumination.There is a significant difference under different color coordinate points within a certain color gamut.And the more saturated the more easily accepted by the people.For the new high dynamic rang(HDR)display technology,optimized in luminance and chromaticity,this paper designed two visual perception experiment to study.One is the key factors of the HDR image quality and the other is the optimized screen luminance in different room illumination.And,we used the SPSS software to analyze and obtained the results: In 75 lux surrounding,the gamut is the most important factor.While the blackness is the first in dark environment.There is a significant difference between room illumination and screen luminance in the HDR mode.And no matter people watch the high-light picture or low-light picture,the screen luminance that people preferred changes logarithmically with the changing of room illumination.And there is a proper luminance under different room illumination.Based on the people's actual viewing experience,this paper studies luminance parameters and chromaticity parameters in TV systems through human visual perception experiments,and has certain references values for designing products,protecting eyes,and saving power under the SDR standard or HDR standard. |
