Research On The Spread Of TVB Drama In Mainland China In The Last Ten Years

Since the 1980 s Hong Kong TV series came into mainland China,watching Hong Kong TV series had become an upsurge in the mainland.TVB drama,which represented for Hong Kong TV series quickly occupied most of the TV market in mainland China.When TVB drama got into the mainland Chinese families,its unique Hong Kong's culture,which was a blend of Chinese culture and western culture,had attracted the masses of the mainland audience's attention.Hong Kong's culture began to widely spread to the mainland,Hong Kong's spirits were also gradually accepted and promoted by Chinese audiences,fusing themselves with the mainland culture.Arguably,the TVB dramas of the 1980 s and 1990 s were all the rage in mainland China.However,with the rapid development of the 21 st century's economy in mainland China,especially for nearly 10 years,under the age of the Internet information explosion and the appearance of the mainland TV series,TVB drama began to face the dilemma of being under the "more screen time" market.It also caused many different changes in propagation force in the mainland culture.This paper considered TVB drama as the research object,focusing on teasing out the courses of its spread in mainland China,its types,its artistic features,communication strategies and cultural implication,and then summarized the difficult problems which TVB drama faced,and tried to propose corresponding solutions.In this paper,the first chapter is the introduction part.The research background,significance,research status in China and abroad,related concept definition,research ideas,research methods,research focus,and innovation points are introduced.The second chapter,summarizes the spread courses of TVB drama in mainland China,including 1980 s,1990s and new century.The third chapter,summarizes the main types of TVB drama in the last ten years,and analyzes the specific cases.The forth chapter,analyzes the artistic features of TVB drama in four aspects,including character image,plot setting,lens language and background music.This chapter also use cases to supply,try to analyse the relationship between these features and the widely spread in mainland China.The fifth chapter,summarizes the four major communication strategies of TVB drama in mainland China in the last ten years,namely,media integration,star creating,elaborate production,copyright protection and management.The sixth chapter,tease out the the problems faced by TVB drama in mainland China,and put forward the corresponding solutions.The last chapter,analyzes the cultural implication of TVB dramas in nearly 10 years,and unscramble the culture and spirits in them,which contain the grassroots culture,elite culture,the fusion of culture and Hong Kong's spirits.This chapter also use the specific TVB dramas,which has won public praise,as examples,analyzes the influences of different kinds of TV series in China mainland.
