In wireless multihop networks,end-to-end communication paths are composed by means of multihop.The network may present the network form of MANET(Mobile adhoc Networks),DTN(Disruption Tolerant Networks),DTN over MANET or MANET over DTN due to changes in node density,mobility,or external interference.In this paper,a DTN/MANET cognitive hybrid routing protocol is designed and implemented for wireless multi-hop networks with diverse forms,which contains the four network forms described above.The cognitive routing strategy designed and implemented in this paper mainly includes the routing mode adaptive switching algorithm based on network environment awareness,the adaptive selection strategy of routing algorithm in DTN routing mode,and the adaptive selection algorithm for information transmission mode based on QoS(Quality of Service)requirements of data flow and network state.In the DTN / MANET hybrid network,When the network state is shown as the characteristic of DTN,since the MANET routing protocol is only applicable to the wireless multi-hop network in the connected state.At this time,the protocol can not find a suitable route and directly discard the packet,which affects the communication performance of the network.When the network state presents MANET characteristics with good connectivity,since the data routing in the DTN routing protocol is based on the storage and forwarding policy,Therefore,it will increase the storage and transmission cost of data,occupy more network resources and reduce the communication quality.So,based on the characteristics of the above two protocols,this paper first designs a routing mode adaptive switching algorithm based on network environment awareness.This algorithm enables the source node and the relay node in the network to intelligently select the best routing mode to complete data transmission by determining the current state of the network before sending data.Then,This paper designs an adaptive selection strategy for the Routing algorithm in the DTN Routing mode,which fully combines the advantages of the Epidemic Routing algorithm based on flooding and the Prophet Routing Protocol based on probability estimation using History of Encounters and Transitivity,realizes the adaptive adjustment of Routing algorithm in the data transmission of DTN network,and effectively improves the communication performance.Secondly,in the MANET routing mode,this paper designs an adaptive selection algorithm for data transmission mode based on business QoS requirements and network state.Data transmission methods are mainly divided into single-path,multi-path and coding transmission,and multi-path transmission is also divided into multi-path load balancing and multi-path redundancy transmission.Therefore,the most appropriate data transmission method can be selected through QoS demand of business flow and network state perception,so as to improve the throughput rate or end-to-end delivery rate of transmission.Finally,in order to verify and evaluate the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm,the cognitive routing protocol with modularity and scalability is implemented based on linux system,and the protocol performance is tested by designing and constructing different experimental scenarios.Experiments show in the mixed routing of DTN/MANET,both routing mode and adaptive selection strategy of DTN routing algorithm and the adaptive selection algorithm of data transmission mode in MANET mode can effectively select the appropriate routing method to complete data delivery and improve communication reliability.
