Planar slot array antenna has many advantages such as compact structure,high aperture efficiency,high power capacity and low loss.Therefore,the antenna has attracted extensive attention and research,and has been applied to modern radar system to achieve high sensitivity,high resolution and miniaturization of the whole machine.This paper mainly studies the waveguide slot array antenna from the following aspects:1.based on the practical application requirements of waveguide slot antennas in military and civilian fields,the development focus and research hotspot of waveguide slot antenna technology at home and abroad in recent years are analyzed.The pattern synthesis and Taylor distribution of the array antenna are introduced in detail.The radiation mechanism and equivalent circuit of the waveguide slot are discussed.The difference and connection between the resonant slot array and the non resonant slot array are also discussed.2.based on the analysis above,the Ku band waveguide slot array antenna is studied,and a four sub-array waveguide slot array antenna is designed.By adjusting the power distribution system,the low sidelobe design in the pitching surface and the high gain design of the antenna(high caliber utilization)are realized under the premise of keeping good matching characteristics.The measurement results verify that the design performance of the antenna meets the expected target requirements.3.the fifth order Chebyshev low pass filter is inserted into the waveguide slot array antenna through reasonable serial and parallel hybrid nesting.Simultaneously,the Mush-room EBG band-stop structure is introduced into the planar slot-array antennas,bringing excellent performance of high out-of-band isolation,high intra-band transmission efficiency and steep sideband that a filter antenna needs into realization.The simulation results verify that the filtering characteristics of the filter antenna meet the target requirements.4.the beam forming technology based on waveguide slot array antenna is further developed,and a waveguide slot array is designed to satisfy the desired beam configuration.
