With the improvement of computer hardware technology and network communication capabilities,multimedia information can spread in the Internet easily and efficiently.At the same time,the problem of information security is becoming more and more serious,the disclosure of personal information,the transmission of illegal videos,and copyright protection issues are urgent need for solution.As an important means of maintaining information security,data hiding has become the main method of multimedia privacy protection and copyright management.Depending on the type of embedded file,data hiding algorithm based on image and video are proposed,and thesis focuses on the embedded quantity,robustness and the quality of embedded file.The content of this thesis can be divided into two parts:(1)Reversible data hiding for images based on modification of prediction errors.Firstly,the predicted difference is calculated by the median edge prediction algorithm.Then according to the characteristics of images to select the pixels that embedded data.The predicted value is calculated by the original image to improve the quality of the embedded image and the method try to pre-embedding many times until no pixel will overflow during embedding data.(2)Motion estimation steganography based on H.264/AVC.H.264/AVC is the most widely used encoding format and it has the advantages of high compression rate and strong error recovery.The mapping rule between the partitioned block matching position and the binary information is used to hide data.At the same time,this algorithm is combined with reversible data hiding algorithm to guarantee the robustness of the embedded file.Different algorithms are used to embed and extract data according to the characteristics of different frames in H.264/AVC.In order to ensure the robustness of the algorithm,data is embedded into video many times randomly.The results from experiment indicate that these schemes can improve the embedded quantity,robustness and the quality of embedded file.Results of this research also provide some feasible ideas to other relevant studies in the future.
