With the rapid development of the mobile intelligent terminal equipment of Android operating system in recent years,it not only changes people's life,but also makes it possible for the vulnerable groups of the blind to travel safely and conveniently.In recent years,many domestic and foreign scientists have also developed a series of electronic devices to aided the blind people's safe travel alone,but they have problems such as high price,poor experience and lack of convenience to varying degrees.This thesis plans to design a safe,intelligent,interactive,popular,and people-oriented visual aided navigation system based on an Android app and combined with blind glasses.The main work of this thesis includes:(1)Research and design of blind navigation application.By studying how blind people travel and analyzing the navigation applications on the market today,we find that there is a mobile phone app that integrates positioning,route planning,and navigation to assist blind people to travel.Because the current navigation applications in the market are not continuous navigation in the process of public transport travel,this paper designs an application with the functions of positioning,route planning,navigation and continuous navigation,which is used to assist the blind to travel independently.(2)Barrier free design of blind users based on voice interaction function.For blind users to operate an application by hand is relatively difficult,if you can direct by input can complete a series of operations,then will greatly improve the blind user experience,so that the blind navigation system become people-oriented.By adding voice interaction to the app,blind users can use all the features of the application with only voice input.(3)Design of real-time vision obstacle avoidance method based on vision.Because the blind person may have many obstacles in the process of travel,in order to enable the blind person to avoid obstacles in a timely manner,to achieve safe travel,This thesis have introduced a binocular stereo vision algorithm to achieve the measurement of obstacle distance,thus realizing the blind user travel barrier avoidance function.(4)Prototype design of vision aided navigation system for the blind.In order to facilitate the carrying of blind people,this system designs a kind of blind glasses equipped with parallel binocular camera.At the same time,it connects the application program on the mobile phone through the USB data line.The camera collects image information and interacts with the mobile phone through the USB data line,runs the binocular stereo vision algorithm on the mobile phone to complete the measurement of obstacles,and broadcast the distance of obstacles through the mobile phone voice Leave,combined with the navigation function of the application.
