With the rapid development of modern wireless communication technology,the performance requirements of communication system components,especially RF front-end devices,are increasing.Among them,the antenna,as an indispensable key component in the RF front-end,also has higher performance requirements for it.Because the Substrate Integrated Waveguide(SIW)antenna has the advantages of high Q,high power capacity,low cost,and easy planar circuit integration,and can effectively work in high-frequency bands such as millimeter waves,so There are more and more extensive applications in modern communication systems.This article mainly conducts a lot of research and analysis on SIW antennas,and designs three high-performance SIW back cavity antennas.The main contents are as follows:1)It is the radiation characteristic analysis of SIW structure that is carried out.It mainly includes calculation of equivalent dimensions of rectangular SIW resonators,loss characteristics and resonance characteristics.At the same time,it is the equivalent size calculation and resonance characteristics of the modified structure of the SIW structure-HMSIW(HMSIW: Half-mode Substrate Integrated Waveguide)that are discussed.2)It is a design method of SIW back-cavity antenna based on the filter loading that is proposed.First,the principle of radiating zeros generated by the symmetrical filtering branch structure is analyzed,and the method of controlling the radiating zero is explored.Second,the slot coupling method is used to load the filtering branches on the microstrip feeder to complete the design of the SIW filtering antenna.The SIW antenna has good radiation characteristics,can generate two independently controllable radiation zeros,and realizes an ellipse-like filtering response on the gain curve.3)It is a design method of SIW filter back cavity antenna based on electromagnetic coupling structure that is proposed.By loading the electromagnetic coupling structure at the appropriate position of the SIW cavity,it can not only excite the two resonance modes of the SIW cavity,but also generate a radiating zero point.Based on this,the resonance of the fundamental mode of the SIW cavity is used in the radiation slot.Both sides of the line generate a reverse current of equal amplitude to generate another radiating zero point,and by controlling the perturbation slot line,the radiating zero point is individually controlled,and an elliptic-like filtering response is realized on the gain curve.4)It is a design method of dual-frequency dual-polarization cavity antenna based on HMSW structure that is proposed.By loading the bent slot line,the complete HMISW resonant cavity is split into two separate radiating elements to achieve dual-band characteristics;because the two radiating elements are placed in different directions,the two radiation directions of each resonance mode are also different,achieving dual polarization characteristics.
