As industrial equipment becoming more intelligent and network capable,the demand for industrial Io T devices from manufacturing companies is increasing.At the same time,the widely deployed smart nodes and the use of various multimedia sensors have demanded much more on the coverage and effective throughput of industrial Io T networks.The wireless network based on IEEE 802.11(Wi-Fi)has the characteristics of high throughput,but its stability is poor.So it is difficult to directly apply Wi-Fi to the industrial Internet of Things network.Long Term Evolution(LTE)wireless communication technology is a wireless communication technology used in cellular mobile communication networks.Although the throughput of LTE is relatively low,LTE is very stable and its packet loss rate is very low.By using both Wi-Fi and LTE,that is,using multiple radio access technologies(Multi Radio Access Technology,Multi-RAT),a network with both high throughput and high stability can be obtained.It is very suitable for industrial Io T scenarios.In this paper,the requirements analysis of Multi-RAT system used in industrial Io T scenario is carried out.Based on the idea of SDN and NFV,a Multi-RAT system architecture based on UDP tunnel is designed and implemented.The system can be divided into two parts,the data plane and the control plane,and can run on a general-purpose x86-64 architecture computer.In data plane,this paper designs the structure of the data packet and the process of sending and receiving packets,and designs and implements two key algorithms of data plane: packet header compression and decompression algorithm,packet offloading and reordering algorithm.The packet header compression and decompression algorithms remove the redundant fields in the packet header.Data packet offloading and reordering algorithms allow data streams to be distributed on two links,Wi-Fi and LTE,for transmission.In control plane,this paper has designed various control message formats,designed a new node registration mechanism and a throughput/packet loss rate measurement mechanism,designed and implemented two key algorithms of control plane: LTE bandwidth allocation algorithm,LTE assisted access point selection algorithm.LTE bandwidth allocation algorithm guarantees on-demand and reasonable use of LTE bandwidth,LTE assisted access point selection algorithm helps clients choose the best WiFi access point.This paper tests the Multi-RAT system from two aspects of function and performance.The function test results show that the system has realized all the functions in the requirements.Performance tests show that the system meets the requirements of industrial Io T applications.We analyzed the test results and gave the content that can continue to be improved.
