In recent years,the development of the online video game industry has made the game gradually become a way of life for people.Inspired by the game,all walks of life have begun to advocate the use of game mechanics in non-gaming situations to achieve better communication effects,in order to grab the majority of users,the concept of "gamification" came into being.Based on such a background,this paper establishes a research goal of “how to use gamification to promote online news communication”,and on this basis establishes and analyzes the two levels of gamification means applied to online news communication.The factors that influence the spread of online news include many aspects.The “5W”model draws out two aspects that can directly relate to gamification applications,namely“Communication channel” and “communication content”,as evidenced by current industry practices.“Communication channel” means “media platform” and “communication content”means “news text”.The gamification design of media platform can guide users to the news field of the media,thus contacting massive news texts;The gamification of news texts can make users interested in the text,and can let users perceive the news information in the process of “playing”,thus satisfying the user's subjective needs.These two aspects are also the two aspects of gamification means applied in online news communication.In these two levels,the subjects involved in gamification are different.The gamification application of the media platform is aimed at all the news texts on the platform.The user directly contacts the news text in the way of the game experience,and indirectly understands the news information transmitted by the news text;the gamification design of the news text points to a single news event.,let users know the news information directly in the way of the game experience.Although the main players involved in gamification are different,in the final analysis,they both promote the spread of online news through gamification.In addition to analyzing these two levels of gamification applications,this article also discusses the current difficulties and future directions of this application.For network news communication,the propagation path from platform to content is unified,but gamification application does not achieve complete unification on this path;The gamification application is also relatively simple at all levels of the path.Therefore,the media needs to leverage the power of online game companies to strengthen and optimize their gamification applications.
