Through text analysis,this paper analyzes the intention of visual rhetoric of the cover female characters published by Lens·vision magazine from 2005 to 2018,focusing on the interpretation of the magazine's visual intention in the cover female image,describing the image construction different from the traditional “cover girl”.First of all,the paper analyzes the reasons why women have been used as cover for a long time,which are the rise of female consumerism,the prevalence of inherent patriarchal culture and the rise of female discourse in the new era.Three factors make women as cover images occupy the mainstream of the market.And then through the magazine,This paper analyzes the rhetorical intention of female cover words and the visual rhetorical intention of female cover in visual magazine.It is found that in the semantics of female image as cover,the main cover words corresponding to female image are “national region”,“historical event” and “emotional statement”,while“national region,historical event” contains the male dominated politics In the field of economy,the semantic intention of the cover words of Lens·vision magazine is to show the problems of men field from the perspective of women.In the visual rhetorical intention of female cover,from the analysis of female face intention,female identity intention,female body language intention and female cover color intention,we get Lens The images of women in vision magazine are positive,objective,calm and individualized.Their visual rhetorical intention is to “arouse the rise of women consciousness”,“advocate the equality of women identity”,“encourage the display of women real character”and “enhance women discourse power”.Lens·vision magazine,as an image magazine that focuses on human and society,human and nature,discusses human nature issues is far more female than male in gender selection.It is an attempt to construct a female discourse and improve the female media environment.
