The convenient and efficient mass communication environment has increased the speed and frequency of information dissemination, which has forced users to face overloaded information that exceeds actual needs and processing capabilities.Information overload has become the norm. The maturity and popularity of mobile Internet technology not only ensure that users can receive and process information anytime, anywhere, but also prompt users to process more information to meet the needs of users. On the WeChat platform with the highest frequency of use and the largest number of groups, users face multiple information sources such as public services, social objects, personal pages, and so on,and generate behaviors that avoid information overload."Unsubscribe" is the main way for users to avoid information overload. In the face of information overload in the WeChat platform, the user's "unsubscribe" behavior shows different regular characteristics due to the intermediary factors such as unit strength, overload frequency, information source, information content, information form, and ease of overload evasion.Different tendencies to "unsubscribe" from the main sources of information such as WeChat as a whole, public services, personal pages, social objects, etc. The study builds a "stimulus-response" chain between "information overload" and "unsubscribe" with the help of multiple intermediary models.Based on questionnaire surveys and focus group interviews to collect data,SPSS software is introduced for functional relationship analysis.Correlation analysis is supported on the basis of statistical data, and is verified on the basis of putting forward research hypotheses,so as to summarize the role and influence of intermediary factors.According to the data analysis and verification conducted on the research hypothesis, when the user performs information processing on the WeChat platform, the user's "subscription" behavior occurs because the amount of information per unit of strength reaches the limit value of the user's tolerance of overload.Due to differences in information content, sources, and forms, differences in overload frequency and evasion evacuation, different characteristics and tendencies of "unsubscription" are synchronously presented. The research results show that the user's "unsubscribe" behavior is affected by different intermediary factors to different degrees, showing different characteristics and laws.Unit intensity, overload frequency, etc.not only affect the behavior of a specific period of time, but also constitute the media literacy of user behavior, and the user has a tolerance limit for information overload. The content and source of overloaded information have a strong influence. The higher the demand for content and the greater the importance of the source, the harder it is for users to “unsubscribe”.The variety of overloaded information forms and the degree of ease of evasion are weak.Users are more willing to deal with relatively single, traditional information, and can effectively use the circumvention function to reduce the impact of information overload. Are they proficient in related skills and "unsubscribe" ? Is relatively weak. The study uses communication knowledge to extend the theory of the role and influence of the intermediary factors in the conclusion, and has practical reference significance for the media to formulate competitive strategies, forming a complete research logic chain for hypothesis, verification, and conclusion. |
