The complete design process of a product needs to go through the iterative design,analysis and optimization three phases,in which the design phase is performed in the CAD system,and the analysis and optimization phase is performed in the CAE system.However,most CAD/CAE systems do not implement effective integration,which results in that the design model generated by the CAD system cannot be used directly in the CAE system,and the optimization results obtained by the CAE system cannot directly drive the CAD system to automatically update the model.In order to improve the integration of CAD/CAE system and improve the efficiency of product design and development,this paper studies the method of driving the automatic update of the original model based on optimized parameters.The work of this article includes the following aspects:(1)A method for automatically updating parametric models based on parameter mapping is proposed.This method maps the optimization parameters given by the CAE system to the equivalent parameter set of the original model of the CAD system,and the model is automatically updated by modifying the original parameters.(2)A method for automatically updating parametric models based on parametric model transformation is proposed.For the case where the equivalent parameter set cannot be determined,the method adds the optimization parameter as a new constraint to the model,and automatically detects and processes conflicting constraints to achieve model conversion and automatic update of the model.(3)Based on the method proposed in this paper,a prototype system based on optimized size-driven model for automatically updating is developed.Through the sample model test,the correctness and effectiveness of the proposed method are verified.
