With the rapid development of wireless communication technology,potential applications of IoT devices are becoming increasingly widespread,and the era of IoT is approaching.NB-IoT technology is rapidly becoming popular as a wireless communication technology designed for IoT devices,but IoT devices have higher requirements on NB-IoT communication modules in terms of cost and power consumption.For the NB-IoT system,the DRX algorithm is one of the key technologies for improving energy utilization efficiency in data reception.Considering that the data characteristics in the NB-IoT application scenario are quite different from those in the LTE system,there is a huge optimization room of the DRX algorithm for the IoT scenario.To solve the above problems,the DRX algorithm in the NB-IoT protocol is utilized as the research basis,and the P-DDRX algorithm are designed by selecting the data reception amount of the device as the reference index.Firstly,by analyzing the data characteristics of IoT devices,the law of the data receiving quantity of the device can be found,and then through modeling the DRX algorithm with the Markov chain model,the relationship between the parameters of the DRX algorithm and the power consumption and delay can be revealed.Then,in the existing module of NB-IoT protocol stack software,extract the parameters required by the algorithm,and finally implement P-DDRX to dynamically modify the DRX parameters by predicting the amount of data received next time.Through the simulation and construction of the simulated NB-IoT experimental environment,the downlink reception test of the NB-IoT protocol stack using the P-DDRX algorithm is conducted.The test results show that the energy utilization efficiency of data reception is increased by more than 37% and the delay is increased by less than 7%,which meets the expected design targets and better meets the requirements of IoT devices for low-power communication modules.
