In the logistics industry,the principal form of existence of the lock of the carriage of the logistical truck is the traditional mechanical lock,with an unsatisfactory degree of safety.Recently the research that evolve the mechanical lock into the elock for enhancement of its security employing RFID technology has emerged.The concrete method is to amalgamate the mechanical lock and the active tag into the elock,making it only effective to open lock and close lock by way of control by the RFID infrastructure,whose major components consist of the reader,the electronic tag,and the server system.The new type of elock controlling system that incorporates RFID technology relies on the reader,but currently the reader still shows apparant deficiency,owing to the disadvantages that the conventional method of programmer burning for software update of the reader incurs,like outer case disassembly and destruction,the inevitable damage of the target equipment and the site,and the waste of manpower and resourses.Counterstriking this drawback,this project develops the functionality of online firmware upgrade.Its working mechanism is to get the firmware file from the application system,take on the deciphering and recovery and burning,and fulfill the job.In the perspective of application,the goal of online firmware upgrade is accomplished merely by the easy computer manipulation,hedging against the flaw pertaining to the conventional way.The software system of this reader shows some features of innovative significance or capability superiority.Firstly,as far as the functionality of online firmware upgrade is concerned,the application part is independently operable,without the aid of the upgrader part.Secondly,the system is capable of discriminating the integrity of the firmware file in a higher degree.Thirdly,the encryption mechanism is employed for the communication with the elock,thus safeguarding intelligence security.The contribution of this project is the design and implementation of the software system of the RF reader,which controls the elock,and removes the defect associated with the conventional method of firmware upgrade,during the evolution of the mechanical lock into the elock.
