Ambisonics is a method of decomposing and re-composing spatial sound field. It is usually regarded as a completion of Blumlein pair and M/S recording technique. It was developed by British engineer Michael Anthony Gerzon in the 1970 s,and after a forty years' development, becomes nowadays an audio format choice of 360° spatial video. This dissertation, with an introduction and a model proof of First Order Ambisonics and soundfield microphone, designed and analyzed three decoding schemes based on three common two-channel stereophonic coincident recording technique: Blumlein pair technique,X-Y technique and M/S technique.Besides, the fifth chapter introduced a computer program that processes sound signals from a soundfield microphone and decodes them to two-channel stereophonic playback, and also, evaluated the output sound quality.
