New retail,as a new sales model,is based on big data and artificial intelligence.New retail is committed to bridging the gap between e-commerce and physical stores,integrating online,offline and logistics.Comprehensively reform and upgrade the existing social retail to make the process of production,distribution and service of goods more efficient.New retail model provides a new direction for the reform of the retail industry.Both e-commerce companies and traditional retail companies have begun to deploy new retail.The multinational retail companies that have played a pivotal role in the development of China's retail industry.In recent years,it has been difficult to reproduce the development trend of the rapid expansion in the past,and it is facing great pressure.In the context of the rapid development of new retail,how traditional large multinational retail enterprises adapt to the changing competitive situation of the domestic market is worth considering.This article takes the new retail as the starting point,describes the connotation and characteristics of new retail,analyzes the driving factors and realization paths of traditional retail to new retail,summarizes the development process and current status of retail industry,especially multinational retail companies in China.Also pointed out that he advantages of multinational retail enterprises in using new retail for transformation.Taking Walmart,a wellknown foreign retail enterprise in China,as an example,to analyzes the new strategies implemented by Walmart in recent years.From this,it is concluded how multinational retail companies use the new retail operation model to optimize their business operations in China,and draw the following conclusions: In today's increasingly fierce competition in the retail industry market,the operations of multinational retail companies in China have their own irreplaceable advantages,in the same time,they also facing huge challenges.Multinational retail enterprises must make good use of advanced information technology,build a highly efficient organizational structure,and deepen the deep integration of online and offline channels.At the same time,they must also maintain strong stickiness to consumer groups and provide consumers with more personalized services.
