Research On The Impact Mechanism Of Information Technology Overload And Social Comparison On Social Media Users' Passive Behavior

Social media play an indispensable role in life,and people from all over the world rely on this medium to connect and cross the limit of time and space.However,social media are also a double-edged sword,and the dark sides have gradually emerged in recent years: information explosions,blurred boundaries between life and work,and negative emotions such as envy and jealousy are breeding...People are increasingly feeling dominated and abducted by social media.For social media companies,problems such as declining product activity and inconspicuous marketing effects have emerged.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the influence mechanism of social media users' negative usage behavior.In the research method,through the literature combing,using the SSO framework(Stressors-Strain-Outcomes)as the theoretical basis of the model,construct the mechanism of the impact of information technology overload and social comparison on users' negative use behavior,and put forward hypotheses;The scale is designed with questionnaires and pre-investigations and formal surveys.Finally,the data is analyzed using SPSS and AMOS software.The research results show that information technology overload and social comparison have a significant impact on users' social network fatigue.Social network fatigue plays a mediating role between stressors(information technology overload and social comparison)and outcomes(passive behavior).Mental resilience plays a moderating role in the relationship between stressors(social overload,upward social comparison and parallel social comparison)and strain(social network fatigue).This paper examines the influence mechanisms of social media users' negative use behavior from two perspectives: people's perceptions of external information technology and individuals' internal behavioral tendencies,enriches existing theories of social network fatigue,and discusses the mechanism of social comparison in an innovative way.The practical significance of this article is that it provides management revelations for enterprises to retain users and refine operations,and provides guidance for users to maintain a good mindset in the process of using social media.
