| In recent years, our government has vigorously promoted the theoretical research and practical application of management accounting. At present,China's economy presents a new normal, the economic structure is constantly optimized and upgraded, and accounting informationization is continuously developed.Management innovation has become a key factor in market competition.Under this background, one of the directions of accounting reform proposed by our government is to develop management accounting vigorously. With the easy access to mobile Internet, cloud computing and big data, the ability to control information resources has increasingly become the useful management tool and competitive advantage of enterprises. As a powerful tool of information carrier and result of management accounting activities, management accounting reports have been highly concerned by scholars and applied by enterprises.Because financial accounting reports must abide by relevant provisions such as financial accounting standards, and provide necessary information for shareholders, creditors, regulators, etc.,its timeliness and relevance are quite limited to meet the information needs of enterprise management, making it difficult for them to make quick and accurate business decisions. While management accounting reports are different,it can be designed and tailored to the special information needs of various management units. It not only provides useful information for the managers of decision-making,but also supervises and evaluates the operation of the enterprise. The value of management accounting reports has become increasingly prominent, and it plays a vital role in forecasting, making decisions, planning, controlling and evaluating the entire economic activities of the organizations. Therefore,it is necessary for enterprises to compile a set of complete management accounting reports, according to the needs of their own management,so as to improve the level of operational management and scientific decision-making.The author has extensively read domestic and foreign literature of management accounting reporting, elaborating the research achievement and limitation of academic circles. On this basis,it is proposed that the management accounting reporting system should be constructed from the perspective of value chain. The theory of value chain was first put forward by professor Mike Porter, which triggered a wave of in-depth research by scholars and developed it into horizontal and vertical value chains, global value chains and value networks.Today's market competition depends not only on the internal value chain of a single firm, but also on efficient cooperation in the overall value chain with the firm itself as the core.Taking into account that manufacturing enterprises have a complete value chains of R&D,procurement,production,sales,after-sales and global trade, this article selects well-known heavy equipment manufacturer XuZhou Construction Machinery Group Co.,Ltd.(XCMG or Xugong Group)as a specific case study, and it provides theoretical and practical reference value for other companies to build management accounting reporting system. This article is divided into six chapters. The first chapter is the introduction, which introduces the background and significance of the topic. The second chapter introduces the theory of management accounting reporting and value chain. The third chapter is the case introduction of Xugong Group's management accounting reports. It is mainly about the basic situation, application status and existing problems, presenting the necessity of improving the existing management accounting reports in the enterprise. The fourth chapter is the case analysis part, combined with its organizational structure and value chains, the author describes the feasibility and general layout of constructing management accounting reporting based on the value chain. The fifth chapter is the overall design of Xugong Group's management accounting reporting system based on the value chain. The author proposes that management accounting sub-reports can be classified into six categories: strategic management report, overall budget management report, cost management report, investment and financing management report, performance management report, social responsibility report. The sixth chapter is the conclusion, including the research conclusions and future prospects. |
