With the expansion of the scale of China's retail enterprises, the demand for logistics distribution is higher and higher. In order to meet the needs of terminal sales timeliness, many retail chains have increased investment to improve the existing logistics distribution system. With the rapid development of economy, the demand for flexible and timely service in city distribution, which making some retail enterprises find it difficult to adapt to multi frequency, small batch delivery requirements, while the larger enterprises have strong distribution capabilities, but also the total amount of goods reached the requirement of the distribution scale to launch the distribution. The cross-docking will demand sorting in effective integration in distribution center to achieve "gather parts into a whole".It not only reduces the number of vehicles and delivery, but also reduces the difficulty of distribution, and also reduces the cost of distribution, which achieving the double benefits of improving the delivery efficiency and reducing the cost.Supply chain as an important link between supplier and demander, whether the operation is reasonable or not directly determines the efficiency of each enterprise.Logistics distribution,as a key link in the supply chain,is directly related to the competitiveness of enterprises in the market.Whether the vehicle routing optimization can directly affect the overall efficiency of the supply chain in the distribution. Therefore, the basic requirement is to coordinate the cooperation relations among the enterprises in the supply chain to maximize the overall benefit. At the same time, the research on distribution optimization not only has economic significance, but also has practical significance. In this paper, from the perspective of supply chain, the vehicle routing of large and medium-sized supermarket chain enterprises is optimized.First of all, this paper studies the vehicle routing problem with cross-docking of the single distribution center, the collaborative distribution network among the supplier, retailer and distribution center are taken into account, which is studied the vehicle routing problem with cross-docking.based on the analysis of operating guidelines, set the point in time for the simultaneous arrival, distribution process is divided into the pickup, sorting and delivery, the study also modelled the vehicle routing problem with cross-docking as a mixed-integer linear program that minimizes the vehicle fixed cost and transportation cost.Considering the complexity of the model, the study design the improved genetic algorithm. Finally, the feasibility of the model and the effectiveness of the algorithm are verified by simulation.Secondly,we further study the vehicle routing problem with cross-docking of multi-distribution centers in the supply chain. In the face of the impact of online shopping, the increase in efficiency of retail entities should be focused on the integrated supply chain management to improve the competitive advantage. At the same time,we should deal with the demand for multiple products of retail enterprises, this study considered multiple products and multi-distribution centers wherein the vehicles are scheduled to route in the network to arrive at the distribution center simultaneously after homogeneous vehicles pickup operations. In the delivery, all retailers must be served at least once.minimizes the vehicle fixed cost and transportation cost as the goal. The improved genetic algorithm is used to solve the problem and the performance of the improved genetic algorithm is compared and analyzed by the numerical simulation. Finally, the example is part of the simulation of Chongqing Chongbai supermarket. The results show that the cross-docking can effectively serve the timely delivery of the retail stores in the urban area, and has significant advantages in the delivery time and transportation cost, improving the operation efficiency of the supply chain.
