Research On Electric Power Cooperation In The Construction Of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor

With the continuous development of "Belt and Road," China and other countries along the route have become increasingly close and friendly.Among them,the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor serves as a benchmark project.It is also a successful example of multilateral exchanges between countries along the route and the whole world.Starting from the long history of friendly historical relations between China and Pakistan,this paper outlines the development level and current situation of "Belt and Road"-China-Pakistan economic corridor so far.Grasp its development momentum and trend and analyze the cooperation between the two countries,including energy.Pakistan has been suffering from power shortage,backward power grid construction,low connectivity with neighboring countries,high transmission losses Transmission and electricity theft losses account for nearly 25%of the total supply.Therefore,in the energy cooperation projects between China and Pakistan,the main development context of power cooperation is very clear.As a friendly neighbor of Pakistan,China is willing to lend a helping hand and think about it.As a starting point,this paper decides to make a thorough analysis of the power cooperation projects between the two countries.First,the article explores that the power cooperation between the two countries can advance rapidly and successfully.At present,there are 66 large and medium-sized power plants in Pakistan.On the basis of this reality,this paper focuses on three of them.Project: Sahiwar Coal-fired Power Station,Giram River Carlot Hydropower Station,Special Electric 100 MW Solar photovoltaic Power Station to analyze,based on the micro perspective,feel the process of cooperation between the two countries in the economic corridor betweenChina and Pakistan.On this basis,we will study the real benefits and future development prospects brought by the three projects of electricity cooperation between China and Pakistan,and fully realize the role of the power cooperation between China and Brazil in promoting the construction of the economic corridor between China and Pakistan.Understand the process and significance of bilateral cooperation in specific power energy.At the same time,at the macro level,this paper also studies the important risks in the process of cooperation,including political situation risk,regional security risk and delayed payment style On the political side,the situation in Pakistan is volatile;in terms of regional security,the Taliban forces in Afghanistan,which are entrenched in the northern fringe of Pakistan,have long troubled the Pakistani government,and the security problem has been very serious;in the economic aspect,Lack of electricity is a huge problem for Pakistan,and in terms of the current government's ability to pay,The risk of delayed payment is extremely high.The study of the above risks can serve as a warning and reference for the further development of power cooperation projects in the future,and in view of the process and risks of these cooperation,At the end of this paper,we also put forward some reasonable suggestions for the cooperation between China and Pakistan,and give some suggestions for further cooperation in the future.The direction was prospected.
