Measurement On The Agricultural Regional Specialization Of Hubei Province And Analysis On Its Influencing Factors

The development of agricultural modernization in Western developed countries shows that the agricultural regional specialization is the only way to promote the development of agricultural modernization.Hubei Province,as an important cotton grain base in China,follows the principles of agricultural development based on "arising according to local conditions and reasonable layout." Through the continuous adjustment of the agricultural production structure,a pattern of specialized production in the agricultural region has taken shape.However,there are still some problems such as the low level of agricultural regional specialization and unbalanced development,the incompleteness of the agricultural socialized service system,and the imperfect operating mechanism of the agricultural regional specialized market.In order to explore the development process of agricultural regional specialization in Hubei Province,this paper selects the annual output of 12 major crops in 17 urban areas of Hubei Province from 2007 to 2016 as the research sample,Using the regional entropy index and regional specialization coefficient to measure the agricultural regional specialization level in Hubei Province,and build a spatial panel data model,then use the Matlab2017a to conduct empirical research on the influencing factors of agricultural regional specialization in Hubei Province.Research shows:Firstly,the main crops in Hubei Province have formed relatively stable specialized production areas,and there exists large regional differences in the level of specialization of various crops.The Jianghan Plain and the mountainous area of Western Hubei Province have become regional specialized production areas for numerous crops;Secondly,The specialization level of agricultural regions in Hubei province showed a slight downward trend in 2007-2016 years.Finally,Both the number of employees in rural areas and the per capita disposable income of rural residents have a significant negative impact on the level of agricultural regional specialization,while the area of cultivated land,the total power of agricultural machinery and the effective irrigation area have a significant positive correlation with the level of agricultural regional specialization,The influence of chemical fertilizer application on the specialization level of agricultural area with a large regional difference is quite uncertain.In this paper,the selection of agricultural crops in the agricultural system as the research sample during the measurement of agricultural regional specialization in Hubei Province,which may lead to the conclusion that the research conclusions are not comprehensively represented.Therefore,the study of agricultural regional specialization in Hubei Province still needs to be perfected in the future.
