With the rapid development of information technology and the continuous deepening of economic globalization, enterprises are facing with this increasingly complex market environment and diversified consumer demands, which put forward higher requirements for enterprise innovation. As a new paradigm for enterprise innovation, open innovation has important theoretical guidance and practical reference significance for enterprises to effectively use and integrate internal and external innovation resources,to improve their innovation performance. At the same time, more and more enterprises are beginning to seek to improve their own innovation capabilities and market resilience through the establishment of strategic alliances, strengthen inter-organizational trust in cooperation, and further improve enterprise innovation performance. In addition, enterprises actively seek to enhance enterprise innovation performance through different open innovation methods.Under the inbound open innovation model, enterprises actively coordinate internal and external innovation resources through alignment-oriented decisions to achieve optimal allocation of resources;Under the outbound open innovation model, enterprises respond quickly to changes in external markets through adaptability-oriented decisions to achieve better innovation performance. Therefore, based on the Chinese context in the new era, this study constructs a conceptual model of the relationship between open innovation,inter-organizational trust,ambidexterity-oriented decisions and innovation performance, and reveals the different dimensions of open innovation in enterprises(inbound and outbound open innovation)on innovation performance, while exploring the relationship between inter-organizational trust and ambidexterity-oriented decisions and enterprise open innovation and innovation performance. The research results show that:(1)Different dimensions of open innovation have a significant positive impact on innovation performance.Enterprises can improve their innovation performance through inbound open innovation and outbound open innovation.(2)Inter-organizational trust can positively regulate the relationship between open innovation and innovation performance.Under a high level of inter-organizational trust, enterprises will be more active in open innovation.(3)ambidexterity-oriented decisions can positively regulate the relationship between open innovation and innovation performance, and open innovation based on ambidexterity-oriented decisions has stronger positive effect on innovation performance.Based on the research conclusions, this paper proposes the enlightenment of the enterprise's innovation and development process, and the government's innovation and guidance process from the aspects of encouraging open innovation in all dimensions, actively creating an atmosphere of inter-organizational trust, and adhering to ambidexterity-oriented decisions. We hope to provide practical reference for the innovative development of Chinese enterprises. In the theoretical significance, this study details the research of open innovation theory in the field of innovation, and introduces inter-organizational trust and ambidexterityoriented decisions to enrich the theoretical perspective of open innovation research.
