Influenced by the external environment and economic policy,many enterprises regard diversification as a kind of development strategy,but the result of diversification is not satisfactory.Some companies benefit from diversification,resulting in a premium effect,on the contrary,there are companies because of diversification of their own business into trouble.Most of the enterprises in the coal industry are raw materials processing enterprises,in the normal production and management process is susceptible to a variety of factors.For example,the non-renewable nature of resources,as well as the supply and demand changes in the energy market,will also be affected by the market cycle of the coal industry,there is a greater risk of uncontrollable.In recent years,the decline of oil prices for the coal industry as the main enterprise impact is not to be underestimated.In this case,if the coal enterprises want to obtain sustainable development,they must break through the siege and find another way out.Diversification has become a new choice of coal enterprises,regardless of which type of diversification of development,to the coal resource-oriented enterprises bring vitality.Under the background of deepening the supply side structural reform in our country,the diversified development of coal industry deserves our in-depth study.And at present in the A-share listed 41 coal enterprises,most enterprises have chosen to start from the upper and lower industrial chain of coal,vertical diversification,but the diversity of the new continent Group is unique,took the unrelated diversification development,when the coal industry faced difficulties,the new continent look at the overall situation,Will diversify the tentacles have extended to the electric car,high-end manufacturing,food processing and other fields,enterprise scale has been expanding,now has basically formed a "coal drag n" diversification pattern.But the enlargement of the scale and expansion of the industrial layout can explain the success of the transformation of the new continent.To better explore this problem,this paper takes the new continent group as an example,selects the data from the new continent from 2007 to 2016 as the Research Foundation,and evaluates the implementation of the diversification of the new continent Group and the change of the performance.Mainly from three aspects,first of all,the new continent group in 2007 before and after the profit situation to do a simple analysis,and then use the financial indicators of the new continent group after the diversification of the financial data evaluation,and finally from the relevant management review,to analyze whether the new continent to improve the efficiency of enterprise resources utilization Whether the formation of their own internal capital markets,the effective decentralization of the non-system risk.By the study of this paper,although the new continent group after decades of diversified development,business areas involved in a number of industries,but the main income of enterprises from coal,electric vehicles and logistics industry,and yacht,property management,aviation parts,food processing and other industries income and profit contribution is not obvious,not to 10% of the main business.In addition,the new continent group's overall profitability is lower than the average level of the coal industry,the value of the enterprise has not significantly improved,only when the coal industry downturn,the advantages of diversification to appear,to a certain extent smooth the business performance.The new continent Group continues to expand its business layout,and has not formed its own core competitiveness,the overall performance is poor.The unrelated pluralism of the new continent group does not make full use of the surplus resources of the enterprise,and the intensive diversification investment increases the risk of the enterprise's capital breakage and damages the enterprise's value.In view of these problems,this paper puts forward prudent decision-making,moderately diversified investment,concentrates,strengthens the core competitiveness,strengthens the internal control,makes full use of the enterprise resources,so as to provide reference for the diversified development of the newcontinent group and other coal enterprises.
