A Study On International Procurement And Inventory Management Of K Company Based On ERP Project

In the era when information technology develops rapidly,it is difficult for traditional enterprise management to adapt to today's society with fierce competition.Especially,enterprise management of international procurement and inventory management module cannot satisfy its rapid operation.Since the precious metals and jewelry industry's international competition intensified,K company had better to utilize advanced ERP management software to realize the new development goals.The the research object of the thesis is the international procurement and inventory management of K company in its ERP project.The thesis first briefly introduced international business of K company and its ERP project;And then it indicated the K company usually designs trade imports,feed processing trade and currency ratings of business during the process of the international ERP project procurement and inventory management module.Moreover,we analyzed each of the key control points of its business in detail,and explored the K international procurement and inventory management module in the implementation and configuration of ERP project according to the characteristics of the international business process.Eventurally,it assessed the performance of procurement and inventory management modules in ERP project based on Criteria for Performance Excellence.The thesis introduced the evaluation indexes of K company based on Criteria for Performance Excellence.Through interviews with the staff of K company and consultants who were responsible for the implementation of ERP project,the result of the evaluation of international purchasing and inventory management of the company turned out to be good,which means that the implementation had a good effect on the ERP project procurement and inventory management module.At the same time,the reason why it did not achieve excellent standards was investigated and we put forward reasonable suggestions to improve it.The author hopes to sum up the experiences of the business process design and system configuration of K company's international procurement and inventory management,which could be used for reference to the information construction of the international enterprises in the precious metals and jewelry retail industry in order to help them grow fast in the era of rapid development of information technology.
