E-commerce has enjoyed rapid development since its birth.The number of Internet users is also increasingly constantly.Online shopping has gradually entered the life of people and e-commerce companies also rise accordingly.Since cost control concerns corporate development and profit,it has also been taken seriously by e-commerce companies.Due to the sharp difference in environment between e-commerce and traditional companies,the two types of companies adopt different methods to control cost.Traditional companies mainly focus on the production process while e-commerce companies stress the cost control in circulation links.E-commerce companies are still exploring means to control cost.E-commerce companies can refer to the cost control experience of traditional companies and integrate their own features and internal and external environment to find a set of cost control means in line with their own development.Taking M E-commerce Company as the study case,this paper has deeply analyzed its cost control.First of all,the paper explains relevant theories on cost control,e-commerce and cost control for e-commerce companies;secondly,it introduces the current status of e-commerce industry,investigates the basic condition of M E-commerce Company,analyzes its cost control status,finds out its major problems in cost control,and puts forward specific corresponding countermeasures to strengthen cost control from such perspectives as perfecting the procurement cost control system,stepping up effort in executory cost control,optimizing marketing means to reduce marketing cost,rationally allocating and managing staff members on various posts,and improving post-sales services to reduce the cost of refund;finally,it makes a summary and points out the limitations of this paper and the prospect on the research of cost control for e-commerce companies.Through the research,the paper has not only proposed corresponding suggestions on solving the problems in cost control for M E-commerce Company,but also provided reference for other e-commerce companies to strengthen cost control.E-commercecompanies are an emerging industry model and the industry has not fully displayed its overall characteristics.Therefore,the characteristics of its cost control has yet to be summarized completely and accurately.It is still necessary to constantly study and discuss the cost control means of e-commerce companies.In summary,there is still a long way to go for e-commerce companies in China to improve the cost control system,and we should constantly explore and make improvement.
