Paper researches the predecessors' research results of the YM2 Wells which is in the northern Tarim basin region.It Adopts structural geology,reservoir geology,earthquake geology subjects as a theory guide to study the southern of YM2 well type carbonate fractured-vuggy type reservoir fracture development characteristics and reservoir characteristics by the new collected seismic data,drilling data,logging data and analysis of the adjacent work area.Mainly,using the method of geological and geophysical method with the combination of research methods to study predict the area's reservoir characteristics and comprehensive evaluation the reservoir of this region.The exploration and development of YM2 well in northern Tarim basin indicate that the reservoir without unified oil-water interface,clear" quasi layered reservoir characteristics,the anticline peripheral area of YM2 is the north tower Ordovician "layer",part of the reservoir in oil and gas resources,oil and gas enrichment is mainly controlled by the seam hole type reservoir that shows a good prospect of oil and gas exploration.The study area is a new exploration area,according to the characteristics of the work area,using the experience of predecessors in the Sichuan basin carbonate research and special technology to complete the study task.It will be based on the sampling core observation and microscopically thin section identification to regional carbonate petrology characteristics and characteristics of carbonate reservoir is analyze and study.Moreover Using seismic pre-stack and post-stack data.On the basis of the analysis of reservoir characteristics in the area,the research mainly in the two sets of post-stack migration and pre-stack migration data,through the fine interpretation of seismic data volume and rock physics analysis,using coherency attributes,post-stack inversion and pre-stack inversion,etc to study the fault and fracture system,reservoir development pattern,the capability of system research of the area.Achieving the objective layer seam hole in the studied area unit division and comprehensive evaluation on the basis of this system for seam hole and reservoir carving and connectivity analysis.
