Rethinking The Status Of Metaphysical Methodology From The Perspective Of Philosophy Of Science

In Aristotle,metaphysics was honored as "the highest learning" and "the first science",and has laid the ontological keynote for the subsequent development of western philosophy.However,philosophy of skepticism was questioned,medieval theology was expanded,rationalism and empiricism was about "how to get knowledge " and "how we can ensure the endless debate reliable knowledge",which metaphysics was further development and gradually appeared cracks.In twentieth Century,with the increasing development of natural science,metaphysics criticism has cracks and more profound reflection of positivism philosophy.On the one hand,the Positivism clearly put forward the "research program of metaphysics.On the other hand,as the main representative of the humanist thinkers,Heidegger reviewed and criticized traditional metaphysics."Metaphysics" became a target,all ideological and academic circles unconsciously joined the "anti-metaphysics criticism" ranks.So we need to deeply think "Is metaphysics really no reason for existence?Is it true that metaphysics does not have a positive and constructive role in the'malpractice'?Is there any practical significance of metaphysics in the current scientific research activities?This paper focuses on the latter two questions.I will reexamine Metaphysics at the perspective of philosophy of science,and try to show that metaphysics still has important epistemology and methodological role in scientific research and innovation activities.Firstly,I will interpret two concepts about metaphysics and science,and analyze their characteristics.The main characteristics of metaphysics are abstract and speculative,holistic,highly general and continuous.The main characteristics of science are objective truth,systematic theory and dynamic development.Secondly,I will mainly discuss the metaphysics' development and historical fate.Metaphysics,born and developed by ancient Greek natural philosophy,has gained a very high position through the systematic study and interpretation of Aristotle.Hume put forward "skepticism" and regarded the metaphysics as the "infinite glory first"philosophy,which caused much controversy.With the development of skepticism and logical positivism,metaphysics was being deconstructed.But in the birth of modern natural science and experimental science,metaphysics gradually went into the science.People had to face up to metaphysics,especially scientific realism suddenly rose.In this period,it re-examined the metaphysics and its name.Metaphysics gradually.Returned to people's vision.Finally,I will comprehensively analysis the value of metaphysics in scientific research and the inseparable relationship with science.With the development of modern science in epistemology and methodology,Metaphysics gradually gets rid of the shackles of the traditional rational,and tends to be more rational and irrational development,which plays more important role in modern scientific research.Especially in the inquiry,it provides a conceptual framework to support spirit and train scientific creation inspiration,and plays an important role in constructing a scientific theory.Therefore,we have to deeply understand the importance of metaphysics in scientific research,especially in promoting the legalization of scientific presupposition.As an important method of moderm scientific research,scientific presupposition plays a "belief ' role in the development of science,and the "belief 'must be affirmed and recognized by metaphysics.So,we should rearrange the way of metaphysics development and reexamine its scientific value,which are beneficial to promote metaphysics to jump out of the current unknown way and open up a new train of thought for further development of Science in the future.
