Monodisperse nanoparticles can form two-dimensional or three-dimensional colloidal crystals with periodic ordered structure by self-assembly.They are widely application in optical devices,sensors,electronic devices and drug delivery.Photonic crystals consisting of spherical colloidal particles periodically have various properties and strong designability.Its performance and application have great research value.C600 and their derivatives are new functional materials.Their singular properties can predict that fullerenes have good prospects in materials science,biology and medicine science,electronics and emerging nanoscience.It provides a broad space for the development of fullerene science.In this paper,monodisperse copolymer microspheres(P(St-MMA-AA)microspheres)with controllable particle size prepared from styrene,methyl methacrylate and acrylic acid were used for morphology design and surface modification.Combining with template assembly,the optical properties of the corresponding colloidal crystals are explored.The specific results are as follows:1.Monodisperse P(St-MMA-AA)microspheres with adjustable particle size in the range of 170 nm-360 nm were synthesized.Three-dimensional macroporous ordered silica(SiO2)materials were prepared using colloidal crystals formed by self-assembly of monodisperse P(St-MMA-AA)microspheres as templates.Supramolecular fullerene liquid crystals were physically filled into three-dimensional macroporous ordered SiO2materials to achieve the transition from thermotropy of fullerene liquid crystals to tunability of photonic band gap under temperature stimulation.The reversible temperature response of the new photonic crystal is preliminarily shown,which indicates that it has potential applications in sensors,photonic devices and so on.2.The high refractive index of C600 is combined with the periodic structure of photonic crystals.The experimental results show that the photonic band gap of colloidal crystals has a significant red shift compared with that of unmodified microspheres,because the refractive index contrast of polymer microspheres is effectively improved by fullerene bonding.The range of photonic crystals band gap can be expanded.3.P(St-MMA-AA)microspheres with different pore sizes were prepared by adjusting the content of acrylic acid.The effects of particle size,concentration and pore structure of microspheres on the transmittance and mist of colloidal crystal coatings were investigated.It was found that increasing the pore structure of microspheres could improve the transmittance of colloidal crystal coatings and keep the mist constant.The experimental results show that the porous colloidal film can reach the standard transmittance when the concentration is 0.01%.It has good anti-glare and acid resistance.The application of porous nanoparticles in high transmittance anti-glare coating is further broadened.
