Recently, the synthesis of coordination complexes based on organic ligand and transition metal has triggered much interest of chemists, not only for their colorful and varied topologies but also for the potential applications. For example, gas adsorption catalysts, optical materials and so on. So far, many coordination complexes with unique structures and functions have been constructed, however, owning to the self-assembly process is influenced by several factors, it is a key topic to select building blocks rationally and design strategy assembly. Asymmetric semirigid ligands have been widely used for their unique structural features. In the construction of coordination polymers,3-(4-carboxyphenoxy)phthalic acid (H3L) ligands can be used as a good choice. In the hydrothermal reaction conditions, we synthesized12coordination polymers:[Mn(HL)(?-bpy)(H2O)3]n·(bpy)n(H2O)2n (1),[Co(HL)(?-bpp)]n-(H2O)n (2),[Ni(HL)(?-bpe)(H2O)3]n (3),[Cu1.5(L)(?-bpa)o.5]n·(H20)n (4),[Zn(HL)(?-bpy)(H2O)3]n·(bpy)n·(H2O)2n (5),[Zn2(?2-OH)(L)(?-bpe)(H2O)3]n·(H2O)2n (6),[Cd(HL)(?-bpp)(H2O)]n·(H2O)n (7),[Cd3(L)2(?-bpp)(H2O)3]n (8),[Cd3(L)2(?-bpe)]n·(H2O)n (9),[Ag(HL)(?-bpy)(H2O)3]n (10),[Ag2(L)2/3(?-bpp)]n (11),[Pb5(?4-O)(?3-OH)2(L)2(H2O)]n (12). Found by the corresponding structure analysis, and complexes1and3are single-core one-dimensional chain structures; complex2is a single nuclear cobalt structure; complex4is3D binuclear copper structure; complex5and complex1are isomorphism structures; complex6is a two-dimensional double-nuclear zinc structure; the complex7is a two-dimensional layer structure of mononuclear cadmium; complex8is a three-dimensional structure of the trinuclear cadmium; complex9is trinuclear three-dimensional structure of the cadmium; complex10is a decarboxylation structure; complex11is a two-dimensional polymer of the dual-core silver; complex12is five nuclear lead three-dimensional structure. In addition, the complexes1-4magnetism and some fluorescence, fluorescence lifetime of10,12also are researched.
