After the second industrial revolution,mankind began to make large-scale use of fossil energy and greatly promoted the development of human society.But since the beginning of this century,the depletion and pollution of fossil energy has become a grim fact that mankind needs to face.As a renewable clean energy,fuel cell has gradually attracted the attention of mankind.At present,the research of fuel cell in the world is mainly focused on the improvement of the performance of the membrane material and the design of the channel plate,and there are few reports on the oxidizing agent.The oxidants used in fuel cells are all air.The real reaction with the fuel cell in the air is oxygen.However,the oxygen content in the air is 21%,which limits the further improvement of fuel cell performance.The research contents of this paper are: using oxygen instead of air as oxidant of fuel cell.By changing the oxidizing agent,the change of the fuel cells performance is studied and analyzed,and the rationality of the use of oxygen is calculated,which provides a new idea for the development of fuel cells.In this paper,air and oxygen are injected to the same fuel cell,and the operating temperature and gas volume of the fuel cell are adjusted.A large number of experiments have proved that the use of oxygen can greatly improve the performance of fuel cells compared with the use of air,and the working state of fuel cells is stable.According to the experimental data,it is proved that the use of oxygen fuel cell is reasonable in terms of performance improvement compared with the use of air,and has net income in terms of economic efficiency.The long time load experiment shows that the fuel cell can work steadily for a long time regardless of the air or oxygen,and the oxygen can greatly improve the performance of the fuel cell.To sum up,this paper selects fuel cell oxidants with less research results as the research contents.A large number of experiments and calculations show that using oxygen can greatly improve fuel cells performance and work steadily for a long time.Therationality and economy of using oxygen compared to air are verified by calculation.
