Binary carboxylate polymers are an important class of novel metal-organic compounds.Due to their wide range of uses, dicarboxylate polymers are of great importance for the preparation of dibasic acid salts and their structural studies. In this dissertation, metal dicarboxylate compounds were prepared by melt method, precipitation method and direct reaction method, and polymerized at high temperature to form metal dicarboxylate polymer.A series of metal dicarboxylic acid polymers prepared in this article include sebacic acid polymers of the second main group metals?Mg,Ca,Sr,Ba?,the fourth cycle part of the metal?Fe,Co,Cu,Zn?sebacic acid polymer, and metal magnesium dicarboxylic acid?sebacic acid, adipic acid, succinic acid, maleic anhydride, phthalic anhydride?polymers. In addition,we also studied the properties of these series of metal-dicarboxylate compounds and polymers by X-ray diffraction?XRD?,differential scanning calorimetry?DSC?,thermogravimetry?TG?,infrared Spectroscopy?IR?and molecular weight and other characterization means to characterize the product. The results show that the same dicarboxylic acid different main group of elements prepared from the metal dicarboxylate compound,as the atomic radius of the metal element increases, the melting point of the metal dicarboxylate compound gradually increases while the corresponding polymer decomposition temperature gradually decreases. The same dicarboxylic acid conditions, the same period metal prepared metal dicarboxylate compounds,as the atomic radius of the element decreases, the melting point of the metal-dicarboxylate compound gradually increases, while the decomposition temperature of the corresponding polymer gradually decreases with decreasing atomic radius. The same metal under different dicarboxylic acid conditions, for reduct each of a CH2 in carbon chain of aliphatic dicarboxylic acid, the compound will increase the melting point of 12-15?,and the solubility of the compound in water will increase. And the decomposition temperature of the corresponding polymer will increases as extension of the carbon chain in the dicarboxylic acid.Except this,a series of products, the compound has a clear crystal structure, and the polymer is amorphous state.
