As a tool steel,high-speed steel has the characteristics of high hardness,high wear resistance and high heat resistance.It has been widely used in machining and manufacturing industry.Different high-speed steel cutting tools have different smelting methods,chemical composition,heat treatment process and other aspects.Among them,the choice of heat treatment process has a more direct impact on the durability of cutting tools.A reasonable heat treatment process can better ensure the use performance of high-speed steel cutting tools.At the same time,tool wear is still a key issue in the development of machinery manufacturing industry.Machining bit wear affects processing speed and increases production cost,which requires further research and improvement of bit performance.The application of micro-texture on the surface of stepped drill can improve the cutting environment,reduce the cutting force and improve the tool durability.This paper systematically studies the changes of grain size and structure of M35 high speed steel under different quenching and tempering parameters.Through quantitative analysis of grain size and carbide,the effects of different heat treatment processes on grain size and structure are systematically summarized,and the properties of M3 5 high speed steel are studied.By optimizing and improving the heat treatment process of high-speed steel material,the technological performance of high-speed steel cutting tool is improved,so that the high-speed steel cutting tool has better red hardness and wear resistance,thereby improving the service life of the tool.At the same time,starting from reducing the friction temperature,the micro-texture of groove surface is made by laser cladding technology on the main cutting edge of step drill.The drilling performance and wear morphology and mechanism of micro-texture step drill are studied by drilling experiments.It is believed that micro-texture can improve the cutting environment and reduce the wear rate.Cutting force can improve tool durability and find new ideas for tool development.
