Pharmaceutical wastewater is difficult to be treated due to its complex components,high pollutant concentration and poor biodegradability.This paper focused on a new wastewater project for a pharmaceutical enterprise in Changzhou.The treatment process is determined by analyzing the organic composition and based on lots of experimental data and rich engineering experience.For high-concentration wastewater,the multi-effect evaporation was applied as pretreatment method,followed by UASB anaerobic reactor and A/O biochemical treatment.After these steps high-concentration wastewater could reach reusing standard and could be reused through TMBR+NF process.For low-concentration wastewater,UASB anaerobic reactor and A/O biochemical treatment was applied to degrade the pollutants.Biochemical treatment process will be deeply discussed in this paper as the key technology throughout the whole integrated process.In order to find out the suitable filler,which is the best to strengthen the efficient of biochemical treatment,6 kinds of fillers were selected,including polyester fiber filler,fixed plate filler,soft filler,polyester filler,elastic packing and combined filler,as samples to test their characteristics,SEM and XRD.The removal rates of COD based on A/O reactor fluctuates among 80%?92%,the removal rate of ammonia nitrogen varies between 60%?82%.Fixed plate filler has a remarkable performance during these 6 fillers for its great COD removal and ammonia nitrogen removal abilities,achieving 92%and 88.12%,respectively.Also fixed plate filler could store amounts of biomass,producing abundant nitrification genes such as amoA and NSR,which is definitely higher than the other 5 kinds of bio-fillers.To explore the principles of biochemical device in influencing treatment results,laboratory experiments are conducted by applying anaerobic+aerobic biochemical device in pharmaceutical wastewater sample,which is collected from a pharmaceutical enterprise in Changzhou.The experimental results showed a 94.7%?97.9%COD removal rate and a 59.5%?81.8%ammonia nitrogen removal rate by the biochemical process which adopted fixed plate filler in aerobic pool.Detailed design of the wastewater treatment station is described in the paper,,including the constitution of each treatment units,the detailed list of structures and matching equipment.Precisely designing the size and model of each structure and equipment.An operation experiment lasting two months were done in the wastewater station to make clear of the actual treatment effect of the biochemical process.Low concentration inlet contents COD around 4000 mg/L?6000 mg/L,ammonia nitrogen under 70 mg/L,low concentration effluent has a COD concentration below 200 mg/L,ammonia nitrogen less than 30 mg/L,which are satisfied with wastewater discharge standard(?Comprehensive wastewater discharge standard?(GB8978-1996)level three discharge standard).High concentration inlet contents COD 5000 mg/L?15000 mg/L,ammonia nitrogen 100 mg/L?200 mg/L,while being treated through the biochemical system the outlet contents COD below 300 mg/L,the removal rate of COD exceeded to 90%,while ammonia nitrogen fluctuates among 20 mg/L?100 mg/L.After being treated by membrane,biochemical outlet could meet the recycling standard and be reused as reclaimed water(Quality standard of reclaimed water for circulating cooling water(HG/T3923-2007)).
