Carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid(CF/PLA)has become the most popular material due to its excellent properties and is widely used in many fields.In this paper,the short-cut carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid material samples were prepared by injection molding and additive manufacturing(i.e.,3D printing).The influence of CF mass filling ratio,water bath temperature and vertical load on the tribological performance of CF/PLA composite material and GCr15 friction pin with diameter of 4mm on the friction pair under the condition of water lubrication was studied by a high-speed reciprocating friction and wear tester.Then the mechanism of friction and wear on the surface of carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid(CFRP)was studied by means of metallographic analysis on the surface and section of the sample.The following conclusions are drawn:1.For injection molding the rule of law as a composite material,pure PLA material friction coefficient curve fluctuation is bigger than chopped carbon fiber reinforced material poly(lactic acid)(PLA),after the addition of carbon fiber reinforced substrate surface is smooth,roughness decreased,the hardness of the composite,spent,increased resistance to shearing action,reduce the plough cut effect,significantly reduced friction coefficient and wear volume,improved the tribological performance.2.With the increase of temperature,the length of entering the stable wear period in the run-in period,the fluctuation range of the friction coefficient curve and the value of the friction coefficient in the stable wear period of the carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid materials made by injection molding method increase,which reduces the tribological performance.3.Carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid(CFRP)materials prepared by additive manufacturing method have a high to low influence on the friction coefficient of short-cut CFRP composites,which is: carbon fiber filling percentage > water bath temperature > vertical load strength.4.Under the condition of water lubrication,the friction coefficient,wear amount and wear depth of short-cut CFRP reinforced polylactic acid material prepared by additive manufacturing method decreases with the increase of the mass filling ratio of CF.5.For composites prepared by additive manufacturing method,with the increase of water bath temperature,the friction coefficient,wear amount and wear depth of short-cut carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid material tends to increase.When the water bath temperature is about 40?,the friction coefficient of short-cut carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid material reaches the local minimum value,that is,the local optimal value.With the increase of the vertical load,the friction coefficient of the short-cut carbon fiber reinforced polylactic acid(CFRP) increases.
