Due to its regular one-dimensional channel and smooth inner wall,carbon nanotubes can be doped with polymer matrix to prepare gas separation membrane,which can improve gas permeability and selectivity.However,CNTs tend to agglomerate in the hybrid membrane,which leads to interface defects and degradation of membrane separation performance.In order to solve the problem of carbon nanotube dispersion,this paper used the form of external AC electric field to promote the dispersion of carbon nanotube in the membrane,at the same time,make it arrange along the direction of membrane thickness,and further improve the gas separation performance by using one-dimensional regular channel of carbon nanotube.The arrangement of carbon nanotubes in the solvent dispersion was observed by using n-butanol with low surface tension and dielectric constant as solvent.Carbon nanotubes were oriented in the direction of electric field in n-butanol.Under the condition of low concentration at room temperature and electric field of 2000 V/cm,400 Hz,the carboxylated carbon tube had a better arrangement effect in a short time.With the extension of time,the carbon tube gradually became a bundle;Increasing the field strength and frequency can increase the directional arrangement and dispersion degree of carbon nanotubes;in high viscosity solution dispersion,prolonging the electric field action time and reducing the polymer concentration were conducive to the directional arrangement of carbon nanotubes.Using PEBA-1074 as the substrate,carbon nanotubes as additives,and n-butanol as solvents,a blending method was used to prepare a PEBA/CNT hybrid membrane with a carbon nanotube content of 0.1 to 1 wt%.At the same time,E-PEBA/CNT hybrid membrane was prepared by adding AC electric field.SEM,XRD,Raman spectroscopy and other testing methods were used to characterize the degree of carbon nanotube dispersion and alignment in the membrane.The results show that the E-PEBA/CNT hybrid membrane has a high degree of alignment and good dispersion.The adsorption amount,permeation rate and H2O/N2 selectivity of water vapor in the E-PEBA/CNT hybrid membrane were higher than those in the PEBA/CNT hybrid membrane.
