With the fast development of China's modernization construction,there had been a sudden growth of all kinds of plane dimension over-length large municipal and civil buildings.Structural design code for special structures of water supply and waste water engineering is giving that the expansion joint of cast-in-place reinforced concrete pool is 30 meters.A sedimentation tank with a perimeter of 150 meters in Beijing tenth water plant is not designed with expansion joint,considering the temperature of the environment and the shrinkage of the concrete to ensure comprehensive temperature.Establish a reasonable finite element model and analysis the internal force distribution of temperature.The main research works are summarized as follow:1.The effect of two kinds of temperature was studied based on meteorological and geothermal data in Beijing,as well as the effect of concrete shrinkage and creep.Distribution of seasonal median temperature difference along the pool wall was analysed considering lowering temperature uniform and ununiform.2.Thermal force of large water tank was analysed with a series of foundation coefficients of resistance.The result turns out that bottom constraints have great effect on temperature effect,and the force decline sharply when foundation coefficient of resistance decrease.It shows the constraint of foundation can decline sharply through adjusting base sliding layer.3.Through finite element analyses the distribution characteristic of internal force under two types of temperature,and comparing the two.It Can be concluded that the ground soil has great effect on the internal force,and the max temperature of uneven cooling pool wall falls by 43%than even cooling condition.The horizonal hoop stress in uneven cooling pool is largger 5.5 than even cooling pool,because the difference of the upper and lower temperature is far.4.The structural internal force of circular pool was analysed by the load.The result shows measures should be taken when the max hoop stress is 2.27MPa,and reinforcement safety factor is given in the actual engineering design.
