During the course of driving,the drivers are ofen easy to relax their vigilance and ignore some of the risk for some reason,leading to declining of the drivers’ vigilance and some unnecessary traffic accidents.So we need to research on the feature of the drivers’ vigilance and find its influence factors,it is very important to improve the training effectiveness of new drivers,enhance the drivers’vigilance and reduce traffic accidents.The definition of the drivers,vigilance in the issue is that the drivers can maintain high vigilance to a number of the risk information on the road and make an appropriate stress response in the driving process.The thesis adopts KMRTS driving simulation system and eye movement tracker to study the influence of the intersection traffic signal lamp and the number of risk information on the highway on the drivers’ vigilance,analyze the drivers’ vigilance characteristics in different affecting factors by the drivers,braking reaction time and fixation behavior parameters.Firstly,the concept of the drivers’ vigilance is analyzed and summarized,according to the definition of vigilance by domestic and foreign scholars and the drivers’ own characteristics.Factors affecting the drivers’ vigilance are analyzed from three aspects of characteristics of risk information,characteristics of the drivers,road traffic environment,and selects braking reaction time of drivers and fixation behavior parameters to analyze and evaluate the drivers’ vigilance level.Secondly,The thesis selects the number of risk information and traffic signal lamp as two factors of the research.the situational design software,VSDesign is applied to design four three-dimensional virtual landscapes which are city scene of intersection road without traffic signal lamp,city scene of intersection road with traffic signal lamp,highway scenes of single risk information and highway scenes of double risk information.30 drivers who wear eye movement tracker are organized to carry out the simulation comparative experiment using the KMRTS driving simulation system,and the braking reaction time and fixation behavior parameters are collected to statistical analysis.Finally,basic statistical methods are employed to analyze the braking reaction time of drivers,fixation time,the number of fixations,fixation point and fixation area collected in four scenarios.The results show that whether the intersection road has the traffic lights or not and the number of risk information have significant influence on the drivers’ vigilance level.In the intersection road in which the traffic lights are absent,the drivers’ fixation area is broad,the number of fixation is more often,fixation points are alternately distributed in the distant and near,the drivers can quickly aware of the risk information so that the drivers have a short braking reaction time and a high vigilance.In the double risk information section,the brain arousal level of the drivers is high,the drivers always pay attention to various conditions in the ahead of the distanced and can timely response to the risk information,so that the level of vigilance is high.In addition,in the intersection road without traffic lights,the drivers’ driving mileage,driving experience,age and character have no significant influence on the drivers’ vigilance level,the drivers’ sex has obvious influence on the drivers’ vigilance level.This thesis achieves factors that affect the drivers’ vigilance in the road traffic environment by analyzing the characteristics of braking reaction and the behavior of fixation of the drivers.The results have a certain reference value to improve the drivers’ vigilance level and reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents.
