Research On The Transformation Of Post-industrial Landscape Art Design

With the transformation of industrial into post-industrial society,and the conversion of economic structure,the traditional industry went into decline and left a large number of industrial derelict lands.These industrial wastelands have become less compatible with the area surrounding them after the real estate development.Based on this background,western countries started renovating derelict land in the middle of20^th century and in the 1980s-1990s.Industrial derelict land reconstruction is developing rapidly in Europe and North America.This idea is spreading throughout the world.The designers and engineers are not only focused on a way to solve site contamination,but to put emphasis on heritage protection and to reuse abundant industrial structures,following that ecological considerations are made in industrial derelict land reconstruction,defining a specific category of landscape design,post-industrial landscape design and setting a relative theoretical system.In the context of urbanization and new industrialization development period in China,analyze the post-landscape design strategies and artistic technique can help to renewal the post-industrial landscape and protect the industrial heritage resources in China.The purpose of this paper is to develop the theoretical system of post-industrial landscape.The dissertation concludes the concept,background and development of industrial wasteland and post-industrial landscape.Analyze the main artistic conceptions that influence post-industrial landscape.The cases from western countries be classify and organize at the research stage,explore the design objectives,strategies and artistic expression methods of the cases.This paper is focus on the post-industrial landscape design patterns;propose the new artistic views in the post-industrial landscape practice.
