With the development of plasma physics and outer space technology,the application of vacuum ultraviolet detection technology is becoming more and more extensive,and the research needs of the photoelectric devices working in vacuum ultraviolet band become more and more urgent.And the spectral response testing technology is great importance for the development of photoelectric devices.At present,there are few researches on the spectral response testing technology of vacuum ultraviolet band in China,so the spectral response testing technology of UV?VUV wave band is studied in this paper.First,this paper describes the basic methods of spectral response testing,introduces the history of spectral response testing and the structure principle of image intensifier.Then,the optical part of the testing system is designed by using deuterium lamp and vacuum ultraviolet monochromator.The spectral output of 115?400nm and 10-6W order is achieved.After that,the multi-channel amperemeter including three kinds of signal processing modules of DC,AC and optical power measurement was developed to achieve the photocurrent test on the order of 10-12A.The whole structure of UV-VUV spectral response testing system was designed by using the system optical part,multi-channel amperemeter,lock-in amplifier and so on,and the spectral response test in the spectral range of 115?400 nm was realized.The automatic test software of test system was compiled according to the test logic of spectral response and combining with VS2012 combining with Access database.And then,the spectral response of transmission-mode alkali telluride photocathodes such as Cs2Te,Rb2Te,K2Te,Cs-K-Te and Rb-K-Te are measured by image intensifiers in the range of 115?400 nm.The transmittance curves of the window materials such as quartz,MgF2 and sapphire are measured by this testing system.The test performance of the UV-VUV spectral response testing system developed in this paper is verified by the analysis of the experimental results.And comparing the test results of DC and AC modes,it is verified that AC test mode has stronger test capability for weak signal than DC test mode,and AC test mode can eliminate the influence of noise signal and background signal.The measured results show that the cathode work function,inversely proportional to the atomic number of alkali element in uni-alkali telluride photocathodes,and multialkali effect of the alkali antimonide photocathodes could also be applicable to the alkali telluride photocathodes.
