Due to the characteristics of clean, abundant storage, and ease of development of wind energy,as well as the rapid development of wind power generation technology, wind power generation has become more and more widely used in various countries, and the scale of wind farm access is gradually expanding.Vigorously developing wind power in an all-round way can effectively solve the existing environmental pollution problems and slow down the exhaustion of traditional energy sources caused by over-exploitation.However,since mainstream wind turbines currently use doubly-fed wind generators as their mainstream models, they cannot provide support for the inertia of the system, which poses a danger to the frequency stability control of the power system. Therefore, only if the wind turbine has a certain frequency tuning capability and reasonably participates in system frequency adjustment, can it effectively reduce the negative impact of high wind power penetration rate and ensure the safe operation of the power system while providing high-quality power output.Based on this background, this paper takes the doubly-fed wind power generator to participate in the frequency modulation of the Baoshan regional gird as the research content, through the method of additional frequency control, the effect of the wind power system participating in the frequency modulation in the system is analyzed. The main work of the paper has the following aspects:First, the operating principle of the doubly-fed wind generator set is introduced. Then, the mathematical model of the wind turbine's mechanical system, generator system, and inverter control system is described. The maximum power tracking process of the wind turbine is illustrated and it is in the DIgSILENT/Power.The wind turbine control model was built in Factory simulation software.Secondly, the general frequency regulation method of the power grid is introduced, and the influence of the grid-connected operation of the wind turbine generator on the system frequency is introduced. The influence of the increase of the wind power penetration rate on the grid frequency is analyzed through simulation, and it is shown that as the penetration rate of wind power increases,it will It has a negative impact on the frequency regulation capability of the system, resulting in greater fluctuations when the system is disturbed than in the traditional grid. Finally, combining different frequency control strategies for doubly-fed wind generators,a coordinated control strategy for different wind conditions is designed.Simulation experiments for wind turbines participating in frequency modulation are carried out under the three-machine nine nodes and the Baoshan regional grid system model respectively. The analysis verifies the effectiveness of the proposed strategy and illustrates the necessity and importance of certain frequency-regulating capability for wind farms in the Baoshan regional gird.
