Electronic active stabilizer bar(EASB)can give consideration to both the roll stability and ride comfort of vehicle.With the advantages of energy saving,environmental protection,quick response speed and large power density,EASB has been researched generally in China.Most control algorithm is designed based on the signal of roll Angle.However,in practice,the roll angle signal is difficult to obtain in real time.The designed control system has the characteristics of practicability and high cost,and there is no specific test conditions and evaluation indexes for EASB.In order to solve the above problems,a practical and low-cost EASB control system and a test-evaluation condition are designed in this paper for a light commercial vehicle,and a quantitative comprehensive evaluation index is proposed.In this paper,a practical and low-cost controller of EASB is designed for a light commercial vehicle.The control algorithm,hardware circuit,Test conditions and evaluation methods are studied in depth.And the functions of the designed controller are verified by the Hardware-In-the-Loop(HIL)test.Firstly,three kinds of application-layer controllers are designed respectively based on synovial control theory,PID control theory and feed forward control theory.The synovial controller and PID controller both realize the calculation of the anti-roll moment through vehicle's roll angle.However,the feedforward controller realizes the calculation of the anti-roll moment just through the steering wheel angle,lateral acceleration and speed signals.Secondly,the circuit of EASB controller is analyzed.The circuit-boards of controller,driving and resolver decoder are designed with MC9S12DG128,AUIRF3004 WL and AD2S1205 as the core respectively.Thirdly,the sinusoidal-stagnation condition was improved,the road surface,test speed,steering frequency,stagnation time and steering peak angle of which were emphatically studied.A test condition and comprehensive evaluation index are designed which can effectively test and evaluate EASB system.Finally,the controller of EASB is verified under typical conditions based on the HIL test platform.It is proved that the designed EASB controller can effectively restrain the roll of vehicle and takes the ride comfort of the vehicle into account through HIL test.It is also verified that the software and hardware functions,stability and real-time performance of EASB control system.
