In recent years,with the further research on selenium,people have realized that supplementing proper amount of selenium can improve human immunity,delay aging,fight cancer and prevent cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases,etc.The importance of selenium in human health is becoming more and more important.Mung bean is a traditional bean crop,mung bean cake,mung bean sprouts and Congee with Mung Bean Congee and other mung bean food are loved by Chinese people.High-quality mung bean production areas are generally in the sandy soil areas,the selenium is severely deficient in soil,so the grain of mung bean is low in selenium.The selenium element is in the form of inorganic selenium and organic selenium in nature,and the inorganic selenium is highly toxic,and the organic selenium is the safe selenium source of human selenium.How organic selenium can affect that growth of mung bean,and how to use organic selenium to produce selenium-rich mung bean are problems worth studying.In this study,Xiaoming Green mung bean was used as the tested variety,Organic Selenium?OSe?was used as the experimental material,and the seed soaking method of OSe was adopted.The OSe concentration?selenium amino acid content,the same as below?was 2 mg·L-1,20mg·L-1,200 mg·L-11 and 2000 mg·L-1,respectively.The effect of seed soaking on the seed germination and seedling stage of the mung bean was studied.Spraying OSe on leaves at seedling stage and early flowering stage was carried out,and the spraying concentrations were26.67 mg·L-1,40.00 mg·L-1and 53.33 mg·L-1,respectively.The effects of OSe on photosynthetic characteristics,physiological indexes,morphological indexes,yield and selenium content of mung bean leaves at flowering stage were studied.The results of the study are as follows:1?The germination period and seedling stage of the mung bean could be promoted in different degrees after the proper concentration of the OSe seed soaking treatment.The seed germination of mung bean was inhibited when the concentration of OSe was 200 mg·L-1.2mg·L-11 OSe could significantly promote the total root length,root surface area and root volume at the time of green bean germination.When the OSe concentration was 2 mg·L-1,the fresh weight of hypocotyl of mung bean seedlings?15 d?was significantly increased.Soaking seeds with 20 mg·L-11 OSe could significantly promote the growth root length at seedling stage.The growth of mung bean seedlings was significantly inhibited when the soaking seed concentration of OSe was 2000 mg·L-1.2?Spraying different concentrations of OSe on leaves has no significant impact to SPAD value of mung bean leaves and?PSII in leaves at seedling stage.After spraying OSe on the leaves,the light protection ability of mung bean leaves??NPQ?,decreased the light damage??NO?of mung bean leaves.3?The application of OSe at initial flowering stage of mung bean could significantly increase the activities of SOD,POD and CAT,increase the contents of soluble sugar,soluble protein and proline,and decrease the content of MDA.When the concentration of selenium was40.00 mg·L-1,the activity of SOD,POD,soluble sugar and proline in mung bean leaves were the highest.When the concentration of selenium was 26.67 mg·L-1,the activity of CAT and the content of soluble protein in mung bean leaves were the highest.4?When the concentration of OSe in the initial flowering stage was 40.00 mg·L-1,the dry weight of green bean leaves,stem,root and podcould be significantly increased after 30d of selenium application.When the concentration of OSe is 26.67 mg·L-11 and 40 mg·L-1,the number of pod per plant and grain per plant of mung bean increased.When the OSe concentration was53.33 mg·L-1,the pod number and grain number per plant of mung bean decreased,and the weight of 100 grains increased.5?The number of pod per plant,the number of grains per plant and the yield of mung bean show a trend of first increasing and then decreasing with the increase of Se concentration on the leaf surface,reaching the maximum value when the OSe concentration was 40.00 mg·L-1.The selenium content in mung bean seed increased with the increase of selenium concentration in leaf spraying.When the OSe concentration of 40.00 mg·L-11 was applied on the leaves of mung bean during Initial flowering period,the yield of mung bean and the selenium content of its seeds were significantly increased,which were 19.33%and 64.56%higher than the control,respectively.
