The development of forage crop cultivation is the key to promote the development of animal husbandry in the agro-pastoral ecotone in northwest hebei province.Rapeseed is the best forage crop in this region because of its rapid growth, high nutrient yield and good forage quality. However,at present, there is a relative lack of research on appropriate control measures and relevant control mechanism of forage rape efficient planting in this area, which limits the further improvement of forage rape yield and quality. This experiment by studying the way of sowing date, sowing and cultivation measures such as seed treatment on forage rape growing process, the influence of dynamic growth, yield and quality traits, illustrates the different cultivation measures on forage yield and quality formation of rape under the condition of drought control effect,in order to establish suitable for ji farming-pastoral zone of northwest forage rape efficient cultivation technique system to provide theoretical and technical support. The main results are as follows:1.Influence of sowing date on growth process of forage rapeThe growth period of forage rapeseed was extended with the delay of sowing time, and the change range was 123-170 d.The difference of growth period was mainly due to the change of seedling days. The average seedling days of the four sowing periods were 22 d(A1,April 15),17 d(A2,May 1),14 d(A3,May 15)and 9 d(A4,June 1),respectively.Because early sowing could not guarantee emergence rate and late sowing could not reach normal maturity,May 1 was the best sowing time for forage rape in northwest hebei.2.Effects of sowing methods and seed treatments on growth and development of forage rapeseedIn the sowing date of May 1,the plant height and SPAD value of sitting water treatment were significantly different from those of non-sitting water treatment, and the treatment effect of sitting water drilling was the best.In addition, the plant height and SPAD value of seed treatment were significantly higher than CK,and the effect of shallot liquid treatment was the most obvious. Therefore, under the optimum sowing date, the growth and development of feeding rapeseed under low temperature and drought conditions can be significantly improved by water drilling and soaking in onion solution.3.Effects of sowing methods and seed treatment on yield of forage rapeseedUnder the sowing date of May 1,the dry matter yield and grain yield of water-saturated seeding group were significantly higher than those of non-water-saturated seeding group. At 120 days after sowing, the dry matter yield and grain yield of water-saturated seeding group were the highest. There were significant differences in dry matter and grain yield among seed treatments. The grain yield of all seed treatments was significantly higher than that of the control, and the yield of seed soaked in onion liquid was 27.47% higher than that of the control. Therefore, under the optimum sowing date, the dry matter accumulation and yield of Rapeseed under drought conditions could be significantly increased by water drilling and soaking in shallot solution.4.Influence of sowing method and seed treatment on the quality of forage rapeUnder the sowing period of May 1,the important indexes of crude protein, acid washing fiber, neutral washing fiber, fat, starch and so on in oilseed rape treated by sitting water drilling and soaking green onion solution all met the standard of "forage nutrition quality assessment",among which the ash content in sitting water drilling and soaking green onion solution was significantly higher than other treatments. It was concluded that both the water-sitting drill and the soaking treatment of spring onion could improve the quality of forage rape under drought conditions.
