| Human being’s disturbing and over-using to natural resources caused its significant reduction, the destruction of the earth’s ecological environment, and the decline of biodiversity. In order to maintain the sustainable development of ecology and society, nature reserves have been established in various places to provide shelter for species survival, ensure the health of natural ecosystems, and keep the function of ecosystem services.Temperate forest nature reserves are the main part of nature reserves in the country, which is widely distributed, accounting for more than half of the number of nature reserves in whole China. As the key biodiversity hotspot and important vegetation area in China, temperate forest and nature reserve are major nature resources assets in China and also world.Ecological assets,as the main body of the function output of nature reserves, are vital economic resources and the basic guarantee for ecological security, economic development and social progress. The ecological asset evaluation can revealed the environmental characteristics, value composition of nature reserves, and the ecological benefits and sustainable development prospects.Dealing with ecological and environmental issues from the perspective of ecological economics has practical significance for the sustainable development of a region or even a country. Therefore, the protection and evaluation of ecological assets in nature reserves are not only the basis and prerequisite for sustainable human development, but also the key issues that need to be urgently addressed in the process of sustainable development of the regional economy. This study took the typical nature reserves of temperate forests in China as examples to estimated ecological asset evaluation. The study included three parts:The first part systematically expounded the characteristics of ecological assets and the importance of evaluation. The second part assessed various asset classification indicators based on the commonality and characteristics of ecological assets in temperate forest nature reserves, and combines the relevant theories and methods of ecological economics to construct a set of ecological asset value evaluation system suitable for this research and for future use in other nature reserves. The third part applied the constructed evaluation system to two typical temperate forest nature reserves in China—Changbai Mountain and Taishan Nature Reserves. The two nature reserves were respectively analyzed for ecological asset characteristics, material quality and accounting research, and evaluated by combining the local economic development status. The results were in following:1.By 2017,the total value of ecological assets in Changbai Mountain and Taishan Nature Reserves were:13874.441 million yuan and 1382.427 million yuan CNY.Among indicators, the ecological benefits and ecological value contributions of forest ecosystem resources were higher;2.The rich economic value of forest and water resources in the Changbai Mountain Nature Reserve contributed abundant resource welfare for human beings. The rich scenic sites in Chanbai Mountain shoed its economic tourism potential;3.The forest resources and cultural tourism industry in Taishan Nature Reserve showed high value and provides support for regional economic development.Based on the research results,I provided suggestions and countermeasures in the aspects of population science, management evaluation and government macro-regulation.While implementing scientific protection in nature reserves,it is necessary to explore multiple development models based on the relationship between ecological asset distribution and economic development,so as to efficiently utilized ecological benefits and to coordinate the relation between social economy development and ecosystem protection. |
