Objectives:The uptake of somatostatin receptor targeted tracer 68Ga-DOTANOC in human pancreatic tissues was studied retrospectively to find quantitative or semi-quantitative indicators for early diagnosis of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors;Research materials and methods:Collect the information of 70 subjects accepted 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT examination in Nanjing First Hospital attached to Nanjing Medical University from Dec.2016 to Jan.2018 and do a retrospective research.Those 70 subjects had definite clinical diagnosis and had not received somatostatin analogue targeting therapy in recent 4 weeks.According to the results of whole body 68Ga-DOTANOC PET/CT imaging,they were divided into two groups:group A(53 cases,whose PET/CT imaging result was nagetive)and group B(17 cases,whose PET/CT imaging result was single focus of pancreatic neuroendocrine tumor).Using the system's own algorithm to obtain volume region of interest in the target organs and tissues(pancreatic uncinate process,non-uncinate process of pancreas,liver tissue),then do some multi-angle analyses to get the maximum standard uptake value(SUVmax)and Meanl Standard Uptake Value(SUVmean).Results:1)In group A,the SUVmax(8.46±4.29)of uncinate process was significantly higher than that(2.38±0.66)of non-uncinate process in pancreas,and the t test result of independent sample was t=11.16,P=0.00<0.05,the difference was statistically significant.2)The SUVmax(26.34±17.31)of lesions in group B was significantly higher than that(8.46±4.29)of uncinate process in group A,rank sum test showed that the value of z=4.342,P=0.0000<0.05,which showed that the difference was statistically significant.3)Using the SUVmax of liver as background value,the ratios of targeted/untargeted had no advantage than the targeted tissues or lessions themselves,because their coefficient of variation(CV)is equivalent.Conclusions:The somatostatin receptor targeted imaging agent 68Ga-DOTANOC has a good clinical value in the diagnosis of single focus pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors in early stage.
