A Study On The Behaviors And Influencing Factors Of Chinese Medicine Treatment Among Residents In Chaoyang District, Beijing

Objective:We would like to know the current status of the behavior of residents in Chaoyang District of Beijing,study the choice behaviors and influencing factors of residents in the clinics(primary medical institutions/large hospitals),analyze whether Chinese medicine practitioners are more inclined to choose primary care,and exploring the choice behaviors and influencing factors of residents'treatment methods(Chinese medicine/Western medicine),so as to propose to promote residents'choice of Chinese medicine treatment and to evacuate people to primary medical institutions,and provide reference for the development of Chinese medicine industry and the construction of hierarchical diagnosis and treatment system.Methods:Taking the residents of Chaoyang District of Beijing as the survey population,the multi-stage sampling method was used to conduct on-site investigation by issuing questionnaires.The selection behavior of residents'treatment methods was analyzed from the aspects of residents' basic conditions,health conditions,attitudes towards Chinese medicine practitioners,medical institution grades and social factors.From the basic conditions of residents,health conditions,medical institutions,social factors,etc.,the selection behaviors of the medical institutions of the Chinese medicine practitioners were analyzed,and compared with the Western medical treatment population.Through the chi-square test,Wilcoxon rank sum test,Kruskal-Wallis rank sum test and Logistic regression,the influencing factors of residents'choice of treatment methods and the choice behavior of the clinic were analyzed.Results:Among the 550 people surveyed,47%,10%,and 43%of them chose primary,secondary,and tertiary medical institutions.Compared with Western medicine,Chinese medicine practitioners will choose more medical institutions for primary care(OR=0.618,95%CI:0.389?0.983).Residents of Chinese and Western medical treatments differ only in the choice behaviors of primary and tertiary medical institutions,and the factors affecting the choice behavior of their medical institutions are mostly the same,with some slight differences.For the Chinese medicine practitioners,it is known that people who have medical insurance(OR=0.035,95%CI:0.002?0.734),a very good understanding of the project of"Chinese medicine e xperts go to the primary health care institutions"(OR=0.097,95%CI:0.025?0.374),value"high doctor title"(OR=0.175,95%CI:0.082?0.373),value"high proportion of medical insurance reimbursement"(OR=0.056,95%CI:0.009-0.355),and those who do not value "the size of medical institutions is large and advanced"(OR=13.143,95%CI:0.009?0.355),value"good medical service attitudes"(OR=0,194,95%CI:0.046?0.81),and those who do not value"medical institutions or doctors have acquaintances recommended"(OR=8.702,95%CI:1.421?53.281;(OR=4.019,95%CI:1.383?11.682)are more likely to visit the first-level medical institutions.Among the people surveyed,the number of Chinese medicine practitioners only accounted for 23%,which was far lower than the proportion of Western medicine practitioners.The development of Chinese medicine was lagging behind.68%of people think that the type of disease affects their choice of Chinese medicine.When it suffers from physical deficiency,gastrointestinal diseases,and arthritis,it is more likely to choose Chinese medicine.Residents who have milder diseases(?2=81.181,P<0.001),lower academic qualifications(OR=0.769,95%CI:0.612?0.966),think that Chinese medicine is quick(OR=1.614,95%Cl:1.05-2.48),and believe that there are a large number of proprietary Chinese medicines sold in the market(OR=1.81,95%CI:1.1-2.978)and have experienced Chinese medicine treatment(OR=6.305,95%Cl:2.482-16.011)will be more inclined to choose Chinese medicine.Conclusion:It is known that people who have medical insurance,lower academic qualifications,have a very good understanding of the project of "Chinese medicine experts go to the primary health care institutions",suffer from physical deficiency,gastrointestinal diseases,and arthritis,have milder diseases,think that Chinese medicine is quick,and believe that there are a large number of proprietary Chinese medicines sold in the market and have experienced Chinese medicine treatment,value "high doctor title",value "high proportion of medical insurance reimbursement",value "high proportion of medical insurance reimbursement",value"good medical service attitudes",and those who do not value"the size of medical institutions is large and advanced",and those who do not value "medical institutions or doctors have acquaintances recommended"will choose more primary medical institutions for Chinese medicine treatment.In order to promote residents to choose Chinese medicine treatment,and to introduce Chinese medicine practitioners to primary medical institutions for treatment,we should increase the intensity of dissemination of traditional Chinese medicine knowledge,improve people's understanding of traditional Chinese medicine;encourage traditional Chinese medicine experts go to primary health care institutions to promote people's access to basic hospitals;thoroughly study the dominant diseases of traditional Chinese medicine,fully explore the market potential of Chinese medicine;improve talents and medicines quality to improve the speed of TCM treatment;promote the reform of traditional Chinese medicine decoction dosage form to improve the convenience of Chinese medicine use;increase the proportion of traditional Chinese medicine medical insurance reimbursement to promote people's basic Chinese medicine treatment;follow the principle of people-oriented service and improve the attitude of basic Chinese medicine services.
