Clinical Observation Of Chaishao Shugan Decoction In Treating Premenstrual Syndrome (Stagnation Of Liver Qi And Qi)

Objective: To observe the clinical effect of Chaishao Shugan Decoction on premenstrual syndrome(liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome).Methods: In a randomized,controlled study,60 patients with premenstrual syndrome who met the criteria were divided into treatment group and control group with 30 cases in each group.The treatment group was given Chaishao Shugan Decoction,one dose a day,200 ml each time,orally,twice a day,for 10 consecutive days,without stopping medication for menstruation,for a total of three menstrual cycles.The control group was given vitamin B6 tablets,which were taken 10 days before menstruation,for 10 consecutive days without stopping menstruation;2 tablets(10mg/tablet)were taken orally three times a day;a total of 3 menstrual cycles were treated.The proportion of subjects whose PMSD score decreased by more than 50% in the third menstrual cycle compared with baseline luteal phase,the change of PMSD score in luteal phase compared with baseline,the change of PMTS score compared with baseline,the change of TCM syndrome score compared with baseline and the safety index were observed.To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chaishao Shugan Decoction in the treatment of premenstrual syndrome(liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome).Results: Sixty-two patients were enrolled and two patients dropped out.A total of 60 patients completed the observation.There was no significant difference in age between the two groups(P > 0.05).The percentage of patients whose PMSD score decreased by more than 50% in the third menstrual cycle compared with baseline luteal phase was 80%(24/30)and 30%(9/30),respectively,suggesting that the curative effect of the treatment group was higher than that of the control group,with statistical significance(P < 0.05).The scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were comparable before treatment(P > 0.05);after treatment,there was significant difference between the treatment group and the control group(P = 0.00),but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05);the baseline scores of PMSD in the two groups were comparable before treatment(P > 0.05),and after treatment,there was significant difference between the two groups(P = 0.00).There was significant difference between the two groups(P=0.00),indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group;the baseline score of PMTS before treatment was comparable between the two groups(P>0.05),and there was significant difference between the two groups after treatment(P=0.00),indicating that the curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group.Conclusion: Chaishao Shugan Decoction has clinical effect on premenstrual syndrome(liver depression and qi stagnation syndrome)and improves the quality of life of patients.
