ObjectiveTo evaluate the colonization /infection of streptococcus pneumonia, and the serotype distribution of Streptococcus pneumonia in children with lower airway infection in Jinan.MethodsThe clinic data were analyzed the nasopharyngeal excretion from 630 children patients from September in 2014 to December in 2014 and August in 2015 to April in 2016 in Qilu Children's Hospital of Shandong University. The serotype was determined by Quellung reaction. Then evaluate the serotype distribution of Streptococcus pneumonia in Jinan.Results1.The nasopharyngeal carriage rate of streptococcus pneumonia in children with lower airway infection in Jinan is 14.4%(91/630).2.The common serotype of Streptococcus pneumonia is serotype 19F(32.97%),14(10.99%),19A(9.89% and these serotypes account of 53.85% of all the strains.3.The coverage of 7 pneumococcal conjugate vaccine(PCV7),10 pneumococcal conjugate vaccine(PCV10),13 pneumococcal conjugate vaccine(PCV13)repectively are 58.24%,59.34%,78.02%.Conclusions1.The nasopharyngeal carriage rate of streptococcus pneumonia in Jinan is less than other countries regions.2.The common serotype of Streptococcus pneumonia is serotype 19F(32.97%),14(10.99%),19A(9.89%)in the children with lower airway infection in Jinan..3.PCV13 maybe more useful to protect the infection of Streptococcus pneumonia in children. Objective To evaluate the antibiotic resistance pattern of Streptococcus pneumonia in children with lower airway infection in JinanMethods The clinic data were analyzed the nasopharyngeal excretion in 630 children patients from September in 2014 to December in 2014 and August in 2015 to April in 2016 in Qilu Children's Hospital of Shandong University. The antibiotic susceptibility was tested by E-test method and disc diffusion. Then evaluate the antibiotic resistance pattern of Streptococcus pneumonia in children with lower airway infection in Jinan.Results1.All of the isolates were sensitive to penicillin using the parenteral breakpoints, levofloxacin and vancomycin. And all of the isolates were resistant to erythromycin.2.The susceptibility rate of Streptococcus pneumonia to toimipenem, cefuroxime, cefotaxime, amoxicillin clavulanic acid potassium,tetracycline,trimethoprim/ sulfameth-oxazole,telithromycin,chloromycetin repectively are 52%,26%,69%,91%,3%,24%,94%,96%.3.The multi-drug resistance rate is 77.78%,and the resistance to erythromycintetracycline-trimethoprim/ sulfameth-oxazole is 73.33%.Conclusions1.All of the isolates were sensitive to penicillin using the parenteral breakpoints, levofloxacin and vancomycin. And all of the isolates were resistant to erythromycin.2.The drug-resistitance of Streptococcus pneumonia is serious. Objective To assess the relationship between streptococcus pneumonia and wheezing in children in China. Methods The clinic data were analyzed in 630 children patients from September in 2014 to December in 2014 and August in 2015 to April in 2016 in Qilu Children's Hospital of Shandong University. Then evaluate the relationship between streptococcus pneumonia and wheezing in children. Results There was statistically significant difference in the positive rate of streptococcus pneumonia between children with wheezing and children without wheezing(?2 =36.41,P<0.005).Conclusions The colonization /infection of Streptococcus pneumonia may relate to wheezing in children.
